Now she’s set her sights on Ross Barton and is determined to snare her man. But he is not interested as he has his own mission – to woo Gabby’s stepmother, Laurel Thomas. The tangled web is set to affect Gabby badly and see her fall into a heartbreaking new storyline. Ross knocks Gabby back making her feel awful (Credit: ITV) Ross rejection On Friday night (May 29) Gabby will don a sexy nightgown and throw herself at Ross. He will gently, but firmly reject her. Of course we know this is because Ross fancies Laurel and they are set to have a fling starting next week. Dawn tackles Ross over how he’s treated Gabby, but he shuts her down insisting he is only after one woman. Gabby is so hungover the next day, she starts to think clean living is the way forward. Show boss Laura Shaw told Inside Soap: “It’s going to be a big story for Gabby, where we delve into the dark side of obsessive healthy eating.” She then added: “And while initially it’ll just look like healthy eating, we’ll see how an obsession can start to go wrong.” Rosie Bentham, who plays Gabby also explained: “I feel like Gabby’s always had that desire to prove herself. She’s a 24-year-old girl and so social media plays into that. Getting rejected on top of that means that everything spirals. “She’s looking for something else to put a focus on. What can be seen as quite a healthy thing – investing in your health – at what point does that become an obsession and unhealthy?” Gabby previously ended up in hospital after passing out (Credit: ITV) The signs are already there This new plot is already starting to take shape. On screen, Gabby is starting to refuse cocktails in favour of water and is discussing healthy eating. Previously, while trying to lose weight, Gabby had starved herself. She ended up collapsed and was rushed to hospital. Thankfully she was okay, but she was warned about being more careful. It looks like she hasn’t taken that advice on board as body issues continue to afflict her. Gabby's turbulent relationship history in Emmerdale From childhood crushes to her troubled teenage years, Gabby's love life has been anything but smooth sailing in Emmerdale... Jacob was Gabby Thomas's first crush on Emmerdale Gabby and Jacob had a teen romance, which immediately hit the rocks when Jacob learned that she'd been a part of Lachlan White's plot to rob Pollard - telling all to his dad (and Eric's son), David. The pair reconciled, but were forbidden from seeing each other after stealing alcohol from the shop. Losing her virginity to Josh Crowther In 2016, Gabby and Liv skipped school to spend time with classmates Josh Crowther and Jamie Halstead. It was then that Gabby slept with Josh. It earned her a slap from Laurel after she discovered that Gabby had done the deed in her and Ashley's marital bed. Gabby had the child of Jamie Tate in Emmerdale In early 2021, Gabby developed a crush on Kim Tate's son, Jamie. Following a one-night stand, Gabby fell pregnant with his child. Refusing to have an abortion, Gabby kept the baby. She gave birth to son Thomas (who, thankfully, got the Tate last name), and not her own. Nicky Miligan had a plan In 2022, a man named Nicky Fox arrived in the village, taking on the job of a live-in nanny at Home Farm. He soon seduced Gabby - which was all part of a grander scheme cooked up by his secret dad, Caleb Miligan. With Gabby unaware that their relationship was a ploy for Caleb to get his hands on Kim Tate's money (with Thomas being her direct heir), they announced their engagement soon after. However, Nicky was unable to go through with the marriage - revealing to Gabby that he was gay on what should have been their wedding day.. Gabby married Vinny in Emmerdale Gabby then began dating Vinny Dingle. She moved in on her dead friend's husband and, in spite of his nerves and inexperience, they got engaged. However Vinny started to question his sexuality before the wedding and tried to kiss Kammy. Gabby eventually found everything out when Vinny was extorted by a man he met online.
