But what brings her back? Well, of course, theories are already gearing up, so we’ve rounded up the best ones so far. Patsy Kensit is back at Sadie King in Emmerdale (Credit: ITV) Patsy Kensit returns to Emmerdale as Sadie King Emmerdale confirmed today (Thursday May 14) the rumours are true: Patsy Kensit is making a comeback to the Yorkshire Dales. Jimmy King’s ex-wife first arrived in 2004 and departed in 2006. And boy did she cause trouble while she was there. Of her return, show producer Laura Shaw said: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patsy Kensit back to the cast and crucially to see the iconic Sadie King storm back into the village. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers “Her return will be explosive and guaranteed to shock. Sadie’s seductive demeanor, combined with her utterly ruthless nature, are set to deliver a spectacular and highly dramatic touch of class to the Yorkshire Dales.” Patsy is equally as thrilled about her comeback. She said: “I am really excited to return to Emmerdale. I treasure the years I was here before. “Sadie King is a character that I really loved playing. Then Cain double-crossed Sadie, took all her money and ran off. Plus ex-husband Jimmy is still in town. Not to mention how much Sadie wanted to be Queen of the manor house. What brings her back this time? Are Graham and Sadie in cahoots? (Credit: ITV) 1. Working with Graham? Many fans had already put the pieces together believing Sadie is working with Graham Foster to kill Kim Tate and take Home Farm. And now her return has been confirmed, could they be right? “Sadie is in cahoots with Graham to kill Kim cos she wants Home Farm,” mused one on social media. Plenty more agreed. “Brilliant news and she will be working with Graham, that’s obvious as Sadie wants Home Farm again,” added someone else. They had agreed to kidnap Tom King and once they had the ransom money flee into the sunset together. However, Cain double-crossed Sadie, took the money and left alone. Now many fans are convinced he left Sadie pregnant with his child. “Will call it now: she had Cain’s baby after leaving the village,” said one on social media. “Maybe she comes back with a child, but who will be the dad, Cain, Robert, Jimmy or someone else in the village?” added another. “She’s defiinitely coming back with a kid – just don’t know who the daddy is…” agreed a third. Destitute and begging Jimmy for help Some viewers think Sadie’s had a turn of fate since her departure and has been left with nothing. And that means she’ll come crawling back to Jimmy for help. “I’m imagining the scene: she arrives at Jimmy’s door, desperate and destitute. Nicola will love that,” said one fan. Todd doesn’t seem like she needs much help right now… (Credit: ITV) 4. Sadie King arrives in Emmerdale to help Dr Todd? One out-there theory suggests Sadie is related to blackmailing Dr Todd. Could this be the case? “Will be either Dr Todd’s ex wife or daughter,” they said. Scrap Ross and Laurel, go for Ross and Sadie instead! (Credit: ITV) 5. New love interest for Ross After news earlier this week that Ross and Laurel are set to become a thing, some fans think Sadie would be far better suited. “Why couldn’t they put Ross with her? Instead of Laurel!” came the cries on social media. A brief history of Sadie King in Emmerdale Despite only being in Emmerdale for two years Sadie King certainly made an impact. She arrived in Emmerdale in 2004 shortly after the Kings first came to the village. Queen of the Kings The wife of Jimmy King was desperate to start a family with his glamorous wife, but she wasn't interested and was secretly taking contraception. When Jimmy found out, he asked for a divorce. Annoyed at the rejection, Sadie started a steamy affair with younger man Robert Sugden. She also began sleeping with Cain Dingle who she paid to seduce Charity so Charity wouldn't marry Tom King. Charity then slept with Jimmy, recorded him admitting Sadie's scheming and blew the King family apart. Sadie wormed her way back into Tom King Snr's affections by getting him Home Farm, but then she started an affair with Matthew King - Jimmy's brother. When Jimmy found out, he told his dad who gave Matthew an ultimatum - the family business, or Sadie. He chose the business! Sadie King leaves Emmerdale Sadie and Matthew eventually got back together, but his scheming saw him disowned by the family. So Sadie paid Cain to sabotage the Kings' River development show home. Her meddling saw an explosion rip through the house, killing Dawn Woods and two others. Matthew dumped Sadie and she wanted to get even. She and Cain plotted to kidnap Tom for ransom. Sadie posed as a hostage too. Cain appeared to shoot Sadie, which made the Kings cough up. But that was all part of the scam! She met Cain at a private airfield ready to make their getaway.
