Mack is an innocent victim in Emmerdale spoilers

Mack is the latest villager to have been targeted by John Sugden. The secret killer deliberately sabotaged the slurry tank at Butlers farm, in the hope that Mack would get the blame. That particular part of his plan worked, but John did not anticipate what would happen next.

The slurry leak affected the village’s main water supply and little Harry ended up drinking it. The lad was rushed off to hospital, leaving John wracked with guilt for causing harm to his own nephew. But clearly not guilty enough to own up to what he’d done.

Mack has now found himself a local pariah and things are about to get a whole lot worse.

Moira’s worst fears are confirmed

As worried Moira awaits the bill for the slurry spill clean-up, she fears this will be the death of Butlers. It’s been 16 years since Moira first took on the farm. She has managed to maintain it through tragedy and trauma, but for how much longer?

But her worst fears are soon confirmed when the insurance company refuse to pay out.

Moira is forced to accept Mack’s recklessness may result in the end of her tenure. Is she going to lose Butlers for good?

Mack makes a heartbreaking decision in Emmerdale spoilers

Meanwhile, John’s internal guilt causes him to snap at Aaron

Mack is also a broken man as he blames himself for Harry’s condition. Moira doesn’t want to know him, so he turns to John for support. He ends up breaking down in the medic’s arms, but seeing Mack in such a terrible state only increases John’s guilt.

As Moira continues to reject his apologies, Mack feels he has no other choice but to back out of being Aaron’s best man. He breaks the news to his friend, who is obviously gutted.

John vows to fix things and hatches a plan to do so. But how will he do this without throwing suspicion onto himself?
