What is the plot of Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials on Netflix?

As always from the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials promises to keep you guessing from the first episode.

However, this is no run-of-the-mill whodunnit. Agatha has a knack for turning her stories on their head, usually with a massive plot twist that will creep up on you when you least expect it.

The official synopsis for the series reads: “England. 1925. At a lavish country house party, a practical joke appears to have gone horribly, murderously wrong.

“It will be up to the unlikeliest of sleuths – the inquisitive Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent – to unravel a chilling plot that will change her life.”

How many episodes is the new murder mystery?

The series will be three parts of one hour each.

As always with Netflix, it will be released as a box set so you can binge it all in one go.

Who is in the cast of Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials?

The series is also packed with acting royalty, including Martin Freeman, Helena Bonham Carter and Mia McKenna-Bruce.

Mia McKenna-Bruce leads the cast as Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent. Her life takes a dramatic turn when an unexpected murder occurs. You will know Mia from her roles in The Dumping Ground, Get Even, and Vampire Academy. She’s also been in films like How to Have Sex, and Sister Wives.

The Crown’s Helena Bonham Carter steps into the role of Lady Caterham, opposite Sherlock’s Martin Freeman as Superintendent Battle.

Corey Mylchreest, known for his role as young King George III in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, portrays the dashing Gerry Wade.

Sex Education and Killing Eve star Ed Bluemel appears as a guest at the house party, Jimmy Thesiger. Finally, Film Club‘s Nabhaan Rizwan stars as another house guest, Ronnie Devereux.

When and where can I watch Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials?

The new thriller lands on Netflix on January 15, 2026, just in time to banish those January blues.

This mini-series is not to be confused with the BBC’s Agatha Christie’s Endless Night, which is also expected to land around Christmas or New Year.

Is the series based on a book?

Yes, Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials is based on the lesser-known book by the best-selling author.

The three-part adaptation of Christie’s 1929 novel, The Seven Dials Mystery, already looks like a hit thanks to the fact that it was written by Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall.

This latest adaptation follows in the footsteps of Towards Zero, which landed on the BBC earlier this year, along with Murder is Easy in 2023.

Why Didn’t They Ask Evans on ITV1 and And Then There Were None – starring Rivals actor Aidan Turner – on BBC One were also huge hits.

Agatha Christie’s great-grandson James Prichard is also an executive producer on the series via Agatha Christie Limited.
