Celebrity Race Across the World 2025 has unveiled its official start date on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, and it’s almost here!

The line-up was confirmed back in September and now we know exactly when the four duos will commence their 5,900km South American trek.

Their journey begins on the breathtaking Caribbean island of Isla Mujeres – just off Mexico’s easternmost point – and takes them all the way to Columbia’s stunning Península de La Guajira.

So, when can returning viewers and newcomers to Celebrity Race Across the World tune in for this year’s exhausting mooch?

Celebrity Race Across the World 2025 cast

Swapping a life of luxury for on-the-fly adventure are couple Tyler West and Molly Rainford. Romance blossomed between the pair after meeting on 2022’s incarnation of Strictly Come Dancing.

Tyler is a DJ and presenter recognisable to Kiss FM listeners and fans of Lorraine. Molly, meanwhile, currently plays the EastEnders character Anna Knight on our screens. She made it to the Strictly final, beating her fiancé along the way during the Week 9 dance-off.

They moved in together in January 2024 and by this summer Tyler had popped the question in Mykonos. In a heartfelt post, he called Molly his “best friend” and the “best thing that’s ever happened to him”.

Beyond Paradise star Dylan Llewellyn

Also in the Celebrity Race Across the World cast are actor Dylan Llewellyn and his mum Jackie.

Dylan is a rising star in British acting, having appeared in Derry Girls, Big Boys and Beyond Paradise. Now he’s ready to take on his first reality show, Celebrity Race Across the World.

His career had a bright start, racking up 94 episodes of Hollyoaks as Martin Johnson, but the work quickly dried up. Dylan ended up taking a job in a café, doubting whether he’d be able to realise his dream on a full-time basis.

Just when he was about to give up, the TV star landed the life-changing role of James Maguire in Channel 4 comedy Derry Girls.

Broadcaster and presenter Anita Rani and her dad Bal are this year’s third team.

Anita is notable for spending much of her career exploring new cultures and fronting programmes like Countryfile and Who Do You Think You Are? She also managed to reach the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final in 2015 alongside pro Gleb Savchenko.

In light of her and Bhupi Rehal’s marriage breakup two years ago, she credited Bal with encouraging her independence. Now they’ll be relying on each other more than ever as they take on Celebrity Race Across the World.

Roman Kemp and his sister Harley Moon

And finally, we have The One Show’s Roman Kemp and his sister Harley Moon racing across the world together.

Roman described his experience on the upcoming reality show as “the scariest thing I’ve ever done” yet also “the most incredible thing”.

The siblings are of royal showbiz blood. Their father Martin Kemp found fame in the 1980s band Spandau Ballet, while mother Shirlie Holliman was part of Wham! and later the duo Pepsi & Shirlie.

George Michael was a close family friend of the Kemps’ and even became Roman’s godfather.

Who won Celebrity Race Across the World last year?

The 2024 edition of Celebrity Race Across the World saw BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills and his husband Sam crowned winners.

Reflecting on their knackering triumph – they’d travelled 12,500km from the Amazon Rainforest to the Andes – Scott was “speechless” at first.

“When you open that book, and there are no other names in it – there’s no other feeling like it,” he said. Laughing, Sam added: “I’m just glad we flipped the coin! To have a great experience and win, it’s just the best”.

Scott went on to summarise: “It’s been exhilarating, it’s been tough. It’s been so frustrating at times, but we’ve been there for each other; the good, the bad, the ups and downs. It just proves we’re a great team – a winning team.”
