
Celebrity Traitors 2025: Jonathan Ross, Paloma Faith and Alan Carr lead official cast line-up

Jonathan Ross, Paloma Faith and Alan Carr are just three of the 19 stars who will be appearing as Faithfuls and Traitors in the brand new BBC series.
The slew of eager famous faces will all join host Claudia Winkleman in Scotland for the ultimate game of trust, deception and backstabbing.

Celebrity Traitors line-up: Comedian Alan Carr
Alan Carr, 49, is an English comedian, broadcaster and actor. He rose to fame following his 2001 newcomer wins at the BBC New Comedy Awards and City Life Awards.
Alan’s first big gig was hosting Channel 4’s The Friday Night Project alongside Justin Lee Collins. By 2009, he had his very own show on the channel, which ran until 2016.
Alan Carr: Chatty Man saw Alan interview – and share a tipple with – everyone from Hollywood A Listers, to David and Victoria Beckham, and all the hottest musicians of the moment.
Since then, Alan has appeared on countless panel shows, cooked up a storm on The Great Celebrity Bake Off and acted as a judge on the BBC’S RuPaul Drag Race. He also fronted the BBC’s Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job, plus two subsequent series, with Amanda Holden.
Acting wise, Alan is known for playing the newspaper reviewer in 2009’s Nativity. He also portrayed himself in the ITV autobiographical sitcom, Changing Ends.

Cat Burns is a 25-year-old singer/ songwriter from London. She found fame with her 2020 single Go. The song gained huge traction on social media site TikTok, eventually landing her a Number 2 in the UK singles chart. She also received a Brit Award nomination for it.
Cat’s music is a mix of gospel and pop and she’s signed to record giant Sony. She has supported Years & Years’ Olly Alexander on tour, along with British megastar Ed Sheeran on his Mathematics Tour.
In 2023, Cat told her fans on social media that she’d been diagnosed with autism. She previously revealed she has ADHD.

Celia Imrie: Actress
English actress Celia Imrie, 73, is also taking part in Celebrity Traitors. Celia began her career in the 1970s drama series, Upstairs Downstairs.
She’s since starred in countless classic British shows, including The Darling Buds of May, Absolutely Fabulous, Midsomer Murders and Where the Heart Is. Celia is also known for roles in Cranford, Doctor Who and Keeping Faith.
Film fans will recognise Celia for the Bridget Jones series (“Just stir it, Una!”), Nanny McPhee, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Celia also had a lead role in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
Celia has enjoyed a successful stage career spanning almost four decades. She has taken on roles in everything from Shakespeare to dramas and comedy farces.

In the early years of her career, Charlotte Church was also known as The Voice of an Angel. The Welsh singer was just 11 when she wowed viewers by singing Pie Jesu over the telephone on ITV’s This Morning. Soon after, Charlotte appeared in person on the channel’s Big, Big Talent Show.
Charlotte’s classical music career was born. Her debut album Voice of an Angel, which earned her the nickname, made her the youngest artist with a Number 1. Age 15, Charlotte was invited to perform at the White House for George W. Bush’s Presidential inauguration.
In her later teens, Charlotte branched into pop music. Four singles from her album, Tissues and Issues, charted in the top 20.
These days, 39-year-old Charlotte is a political activist. Now a mum-of-three, she also heads up the The Awen Project. Described as a “new model for learning environments”, Charlotte works with families to create free small learning communities, often in the great outdoors.

Clare Balding is one of the UK’s best known broadcasters. The daughter of a race horse trainer, she was a leading amateur flat jockey from 1988 to 1993. In 1994, Clare branched into broadcasting and landed a job as a trainee with BBC National Radio.
In 1995, Clare launched her TV career by presenting the highlights at Royal Ascot. Two years later, she was made the BBC’s lead horse racing host.
Clare has since reported from eight Olympic Games, five Paralympic Games and five Commonwealth Games. She’s a regular host on BBC Sports Personality of the Year and has fronted Today at Wimbledon since 2015, and has been the lead presenter at Wimbledon since 2023.
Clare, 54, is also known for covering major Royal events, including the Platinum Jubilee and King Charles’ Coronation. She has been awarded both an OBE and a CBE for her services to sport and charity.

David Olusoga: Historian and filmmaker
David Olusoga was born in Nigeria. He migrated to the UK with his mother aged five and they settled on a council estate in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.
In 1994, David graduated from the University of Liverpool with a degree in history and went on to gain a post-graduate in broadcast journalism. He made his break into TV as a researcher for the BBC’s Western Front.
David moved into television presenting and has fronted shows including Timewatch, A House Through Time, The Unwanted: The Secret Windrush Files and Britain’s Forgotten Slave Owners. The latter won a BAFTA.
He has also appeared multiple times on BBC’s The One Show and he is an ambassador for the National Trust.
David has penned seven history books. He was awarded an OBE in 2019 for services to history and to community integration.

Joe Marler: England Rugby star
England rugby champ Joe Marler can’t wait to get going on Celebrity Traitors. Joe began playing rugby aged 11 before starting his professional career at Haywards Heath RFC.
The sportsman joined the Harlequins Academy in 2008 and made his debut for the club in 2009. He stayed with the Harlequins until his retirement in 2024.
Joe, 35, was captain for England at U18s level. By retirement, he had 95 caps with the national team, winning three Six Nations Championships.
Joe has since moved into broadcasting. He has appeared on two celebrity versions of Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel, and hosts the Joe Marler’s Things People Do podcast.
His book, Loose Head, Confessions of an (un)professional rugby player, was released in 2020.
Joe has spoken openly about his experiences with mental health. The dad-of-four fronted the Sky Sports documentary, Big Boys Don’t Cry, during Mental Health Awareness Week in 2021.

Joe Wilkinson: Comedian and actor
Comedy fans will be pleased to see Joe Wilkinson in Celebrity Traitors. But can he keep a straight face during the Round Tables?
Joe, 50, began his career as a support act to Russell Howard and his Celebrity Traitors co-star, Alan Carr. He is now known for his regular appearances on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats.
The TV funnyman has also appeared on The Rob Brydon Show, Have I Got News For You and Russell Howard’s Good News. Joe has competed on The Crystal Maze, Celebrity Squares and Taskmaster.
Joe is good at acting, too. He has starred in BBC sitcom Miranda, Netflix‘s Sex Education and After Life, and ITV’s Douglas Is Cancelled.
This year, Joe appeared in the BBC Two comedy, David Mitchell’s Outsiders.

Celebrity Traitors line-up: TV host Jonathan Ross
Jonathan Ross is one of Celebrity Traitors’ biggest names. He is, of course, best known for The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV (formerly BBC One).
Like his Traitors co-star David Olusoga, Jonathan began his television career as a researcher. By the early 90s, he had broken into presenting. In 1991, Jonathan hosted the British Comedy Awards and continued to front the ceremony until 2014.
Over the decades, Jonathan has presented Comic Relief, Britain’s Best Sitcom and Jonathan Ross’ New Year Comedy Special. He’s a regular panelist for shows including They Think It’s All Over, The Big Fat Quiz of the Year, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
Jonathan, 64, is also a movie critic and was the face of the long-running BBC series, Film, for more than a decade. He now fronts ITVX’s Jonathan Ross: Must-Watch Films.
Masked Singer fans will know Jonathan for being a judge on the reality show. He’s appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside his daughter, Honey Kinny.
Like many of his Traitors co-stars, Jonathan also has an OBE. His is for services to broadcasting.

TV journalist Kate Garraway is famed for co-hosting ITV’s Good Morning Britain. She started her career as a reporter for ITV News Central, before moving to ITV News Meridian.
Kate, 58, became a household name when she was made a co-host of breakfast show GMTV in 2000, later moving to Daybreak as entertainment editor. She joined the Good Morning Britain team in 2014.
In in 2007, Kate took part in Strictly Come Dancing. She and pro partner, Anton Du Beke, were eliminated in week 7. Six years ago, she tried her luck on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.
Tragically, Kate’s stint in the jungle came just three months before the Covid-19 pandemic. Kate’s husband, former political aide Derek Draper, caught an unusually bad case of the virus. Derek had a lengthy and public battle with the long-term effects of Covid and died in January 2024, age 56.
Earlier this year, Kate was unmasked as Spag Bol on ITV’s The Masked Singer. She currently hosts a weekday show on Smooth Radio.

Lucy Beaumont, 42, is a stand-up comedian and actress. Lucy’s first gig was in 2011 at the So You Think You’re Funny competition. She made it to the final.
She went on to co-write and star in the radio sitcom, To Hull and Back, which featured actress Maureen Lipman. Three series of the show aired on BBC Radio 2 from 2015 to 2018.
Lucy is known for her mock-umentary series, Meet The Richardson, alongside her now-ex husband, Jon Richardson. They also appeared together in Channel 4’s Jon & Lucy’s Odd Couples, and Celebrity Gogglebox. The couple announced their separation last year.
Lucy has appeared as a celebrity contestant on University Challenge, The Weakest Link and Taskmaster. She’s also taken part in Would I Lie To You? and 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Scottish actor Mark Bonnar is now a household name thanks to a string of high profile roles. He’s famed for playing Max in Guilt, Duncan Hunter in Shetland and Bruno Jenkins in Casualty.
Mark, 56, also portrayed Detective Chief Constable Mike Dryden in series 2 of Line of Duty, and Detective Finney in Psychoville. He’s enjoyed guest roles in Law & Order UK, Grantchester and Silent Witness.
In ITV crime drama Unforgotten he played Colin Osbourne, and he starred as Gary Carmichael in BBC drama Apple Tree Yard. Mark showed off his comedy credentials as Chris in Channel 4’s Catastrophe.

Nick Mohammed: Actor and Comedian
Ted Lasso fans will welcome Nick Mohammed to the Celebrity Traitors line-up. Nick is best known for starring as rival coach, Nathan ‘Nate’ Shelley ,in the Apple TV+ series.
Nick, 44, didn’t envision a career in the spotlight to begin with. In fact, he has a a PhD in Geophysics from Cambridge. But after landing a spot in sketch comedy troupe, The Cambridge Footlights, his head was turned.
Nick started out as a comedian, going on to appear in shows including Eight Out Of 10 Cats. His acting path began with guest roles in Miranda, Cuckoo and Fresh Meat.
The British star, who was born in Leeds, got his big break in America in 2020 when he landed the part of Ted Lasso’s Nathan. He has been nominated twice for Outstanding Supporting Actor at the Primetime Emmy Awards.
Last year, Nick played lawyer Jules in BBC2’s drama Alma’s Not Normal.

Niko Omilana, 27, is the resident social media star among the Celebrity Traitors line-up. He has more than 8million subscribers on YouTube and 3million on Instagram.
Born Nikolas Daniel Adegbajumo Omilana, is best known for his prank online videos. In 2021, Niko ran as an Independent candidate in the London mayoral election. He also stood as an Independent in the 2024 General Election. Both attempts were unsuccessful.
Niko stood in Richmond and Northallerton for the General Election, alongside then Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Sunak won the seat but stood down when the Conservative Party were defeated nationally by Labour.
During his concession speech, Niko infamously stood behind Rishi and held up a piece of paper with an L on it for ‘loser’.

Singer Paloma Faith is one of Britain’s most quirkiest yet popular musicians. Since finding fame with her debut album, Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?, Paloma has won countless awards and accolades. These include a Brit Award.
Paloma’s biggest hits include Stone Cold Sober, If Loving You Was Easy, Loyal and If This is Goodbye.
The singer-songwriter, 44, is also a dab-hand at acting. In 2007, before her music career had properly kicked off, she landed the part of school girl Andrea in St Trinian’s. Paloma has also starred in sketch comedy show, Dogface, and American series Pennyworth.
Paloma was previously a judge on ITV’s The Voice UK and she’s taken part in The Great Celebrity Bake Off.

Irish actress Ruth Codd will be known to Netflix fans as Anya in The Midnight Club. But her rise to fame was an unusual one, as she has no acting experience.
Ruth, 29, began her working life as a barber. She then became famous on TikTok for her comedic videos. She was scouted on the site by Netflix for The Midnight Club. Critics loved Ruth and she was then cast in Netflix’s The Fall of the House of Usher.
Age 15, Ruth injured her foot while playing football. Eight years later, she had her leg amputated below the knee. Ruth has since told Teen Vogue she “wouldn’t change it”, crediting her amputation for making her “resilient”.

Stephen Fry: Actor, Writer, Presenter
Given his intellectual brain, Stephen Fry should go far in The Traitors. He will be able to work out a game strategy like no other!
Stephen is best known for being an actor, writer and TV presenter. Basically, he’s a great all rounder. He rose to fame in the comedy act Fry and Laurie, alongside Hugh Laurie, and has enjoyed a very extensive broadcasting career.
In 1997, Stephen was nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Oscar Wilde in the film Wilde. He’s also very well known for presenting the quiz show QI.
Stephen is the voice of the Harry Potter audiobooks and has written several of his own books. They range in topic from Greek mythology to mental health. Stephen has been very open about his battle with his own mental health.
In March this year, Stephen received his knighthood. He was made Knight Bachelor by The King in recognition of his services to mental health awareness, the environment and charity.

Tameka Empson is best known for playing Kim Fox in EastEnders. She has portrayed the bubbly character in the BBC soap since 2009.
The 48-year-old actress’s first role came in the 1996 film, Beautiful Thing. Tameka also dabbled with theatre, landing parts in shows including Our House, and 3 Non Blondes.
In 2008, Tameka appeared in the BBC sitcom Beautiful People. In the same year, she enjoyed a guest role in ITV drama Whitechapel.
Tameka has performed multiple times in pantomime at the Hackney Empire in London, and she competed in Strictly Come Dancing in 2016. Together with pro partner Gorka Márquez, Tameka was second to leave the competition.
Two years ago, Tameka took part Comic Relief Does The Apprentice to raise money for Comic Relief. She later appeared as a panelist on The Apprentice: You’re Fired during the civilian series.

Tom Daley completes the Celebrity Traitors line-up [Credit: BBC]
Tom Daley: Olympian
Tom Daley is the final star to dive into this year’s Celebrity Traitors. The sportsman became a household name thanks to his impressive diving career and now he’s one of Britain’s best loved TV personalities.
Tom was just seven years old when he started diving and he quickly climbed the rankings. Tom made his Olympic debut age 14 at Beijing 2008. At London 2012, he won a Bronze for Men’s 10m Platform. He also won a Bronze at Rio 2016.
Tom, 31, triumphed at Tokyo 2020 and won Gold for the men’s 10m synchro event with partner Matty Lee. He also won a Bronze as an individual.
Last year, before announcing his retirement, Tom scooped a final Silver at Paris 2024 for the men’s synchro competition with Noah Williams.
Tom has two children with his husband, Dustin Lance Black, and is known for his love of knitting.
