Beyond Paradise series 4: Episode 3 sees Phil Daniels and Vincent Franklin return to the cast

Beyond Paradise series 4 continues with episode 3 tonight, and there’s a new mystery to solve alongside a starry new guest cast.

This week, when the team attend a Dark Morris Dancing event, Margo finds herself at the centre of a crime when a member of her team collapses during their performance. With a severe allergic reaction to blame, and the victim’s epi-pen case empty, Humphrey is stumped as to how the attack was triggered unseen while all eyes were on the stage.

But, naturally, the super-sleuth finally manages to solve the mystery – with a few curveballs on the way… Here’s who plays who in the cast of Beyond Paradise series 4 episode 3 (Friday, April 10, 2026).

Beyond Paradise series 4 episode 3 cast: Phil Daniels stars as Marvelous Harris

Veteran actor Phil Daniels, 67, returns as “weird” Marvelous Harris, a role he first played in series 1 in 2023. Of course, the veteran actor is perhaps best known for playing Jimmy in the 1979 film Quadrophenia.

He’s been acting for more than 50 years – ever since he was 14, in fact, when he played Billy in the film Anoop and the Elephant opposite Linda Robson. He went on to secure several TV roles as a jobbing actor, until landing the life-changing part in Quadrophenia.

EastEnders fans will know him for playing Kevin Wicks in the BBC soap between 2006 and 2008. Kevin arrived in Walford alongside his two children, Carly and Dean. He was the nephew of beloved character Pat Butcher. After Phil decided to leave the soap, EastEnders scriptwriters killed off the character in a car crash in dramatic scenes on New Year’s Eve 2007.

London-born Phil also played Richards in Scum, and voiced Fetcher in Chicken Run. Other notable TV roles include Sam Weller in The Pickwick Papers, Gary Rickey in Holding On, Larry Valentine in Sex, Chips & Rock ‘n’ Roll, and Terry Brook in Time Gentleman Please.

More recently, Phil portrayed Craig Dodds in Boat Story, Maester Gerardys in House of the Dragon, and Frank Gifford in Waiting for the Out.

Vincent Franklin plays James Smith

Yorkshire-born Vincent Franklin, 59, stars as James Smith in the third episode of Beyond Paradise. He is Humphrey’s superior officer, and first arrived in episode 1 with the news that the team needed to make some staff cutbacks…

Actor Vincent has been on our screens since 1996, and is largely known for his comedic roles in Sir Gadabout, the Worst Knight in the Land, Cucumber, The Thick of It, Banana, and Twenty Twelve.

Drama fans will also know him for some pretty pivotal roles. In 2007, he Vincent portrayed Rawdon Hull in the David Morrissey thriller Five Days, before going on to play Mr Limbkins in the Tom Hardy version of Oliver Twist that year.

In 2015, Vincent starred as Drawlight in the fantastic BBC adaptation of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Other notable drama roles include Mike Travis in Bodyguard, Christopher Rawson in Gentleman Jack, and Chris Parsons in Doc Martin.

Happy Valleys fans will know him as Andy Shepherd in the unparalleled crime drama. Andy Shepherd was the Detective Superintendent in Yorkshire Police, who oversaw several of Catherine Cawood’s investigations into serious crimes.

More recently, the actor played got a promotion to Prime Minister Harry Shaw in the Doctor Who spin-off The War Between the Land and the Sea.

He’s been in multiple films, too, including some very, very good ones. We’re talking Vera Drake, Topsy Turvy, Mr Turner, and The Bourne Identity.

Beyond Paradise series 4 episode 3 cast: Gina Bramhill portrays Amelia

Actress Gina Bramhill joins the cast as Archie’s new girlfriend and spa therapist Amelia. And, yes, she is much younger than him! What this means for Zahra Ahmadi’s character DS Esther Williams becomes a bit clearer in episode 3, after Amelia made her first appearance in last week’s episode 2.

Lincolnshire-born actress, 41, is perhaps best known for playing  Jodie Woodward in Corrie in 2012, and Eve in Being Human series 4.

Other notable roles include Susie Spender in Mr Selfridge, Rachel Purity in The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, Lisa in Brief Encounters, Younger Connie in Us, and Fiona Mashaba in Silent Witness. More recently, Gina has portrayed Rachel in The Flatshare, Sylvia in Miss Fallaci, and Severine in Bait.

Who else appears in the cast?

Dorset-born Rebecca Night, 40, stars as Holly in this week’s episode of Beyond Paradise. She made her name playing Fanny Hill in the 2007 TV mini-series of the same name. Subsequent roles included Catherine in the Tom Hardy version of Wuthering Heights in 2009, and Nan Carter in Lark Rise to Candleford. She’s also famous for playing Laura Aird in This September, and Bell in sitcom Starlings.

In real life, she is married to Downton abbey actor Harry Hadden-Paton.

Tom McCall plays Matthew. The jobbing actor is perhaps best known for playing PC Vickers in This Town, and Steve in the recent Silent Witness two-parter The Enemy Within. He’s also popped up in episodes of Ludwig, Father Brown, Doctors, White House Farm, and Black Mirror.

Eva Feiler returns as Lucy Thompson, a role she first played in series 1, before popping up in series 2 again. The actress is best known for playing Bella Tatar in the 2024 drama We Were the Lucky Ones. She also portrayed a young Margaret Thatcher in an episode of The Crown in 2020.

Alec Nicholls portrays Bob Turner. The jobbing actor has been on our screens since 2000, and is possibly most famous for playing Patrick Vallance in the 2022 Sky Original This England. He’s also portrayed Paul Tucker in Without Motive, Secretary Lieber in The Diplomat, and Ryan Fleming in Mr Bates vs. The Post Office.
