7 whopping lies Gia told on MAFS Australia as she’s finally hauled onto After The Dinner Party: Secret calls, ‘showmance’ claims and Gold Coast fibs
Gia caught herself in quite a few liesMAFS Australia is nearing the end but the season’s biggest villain, Gia Fleur has just been confronted over her lies on After The Dinner Party – but exactly what has she said?
It’s been a whirlwind of a rollercoaster ride for Gia Fleur on MAFS Australia. But as she finally exits the experiment for good – after quitting numerous times – she has faced the music for all of her lies.
Gia avoided appearing on the spin-off show, After The Dinner Party, for the entire series. But this week, she wanted to clear her name, and finally made her appearance. However, what she had to say only proved that she had lied throughout the show.
So, what were the lies Gia told about MAFS Australia? Let’s have a look.

1. Gia claimed Scott was ‘horrible’ to her – then backtracked
On After The Dinner Party, Gia claimed that viewers didn’t see everything. And that Scott actually had moments where he was “horrible” to her.
But when the hosts pressed her on it, she doubled down, claiming that there should be footage of things that Scott had said.
She alleged: “Can we pull up footage of mic moments where Scott spoke about the other women in the experiment? And when he told me he hates my hair curly, and he doesn’t like my hair up. And that I look a bit fat. Can we show any of that? I would love something to be shown that makes him look bad.”
Gia admitted she “didn’t want” to bring it up throughout the experiment. But it was clear that none of the hosts were believing a word she said.

Host Laura Byrne then called Gia out on her lie. She said: “What we’re trying to say is that when you say ‘show the videos’, we actually can’t because they don’t exist. So, are you potentially trying to find things to justify the behaviour we have seen?”
When pressed, Gia backtracked and admitted viewers “are seeing the real Scott” and that she “doesn’t know what else to say”.

2. Did Gia flirt with alternative match James?
When the final test aired, Gia flirted with her alternative match, James. But when Scott asked her if she flirted, she denied everything.
Explaining why she lied, Gia said: “I do admit that I lied about it to Scott, I was trying to soften the blow. But when I watched it back, it was pretty bad.”
When asked if she spoke to James after the final task, Gia explained he DM’ed her on Instagram, and she let Scott reply. However, her blatant lie was immediately called out as earlier in the episode, James provided receipts that showed Gia called him three times, and sent him bikini photos.
As Jules explained that they know they had more contact, Gia’s face literally dropped as she realises she had been caught. So, in order to fix the situation, she lied again and said it wasn’t until she was living on the Gold Coast.
Jules revealed: “Actually, on that final day where you stormed off on the street, we know you called James that day. Why did you just lie to us? You said you blocked him.”
Gia then said: “This was days later after the final date” but Laura interrupted: “No. This was one hour later, you called James.” Gia then responded: “Was it? Okay. I can’t remember on the days we were filming.”
When asked what they spoke about, Gia claimed she “just wanted advice” on the situation.
However, when pressed even further, Gia finally revealed the truth. She said: “I wanted to feel wanted by Scott, but I felt rejected, so I thought [bleep] it. I was begging him to even sleep with me, but he wasn’t giving me anything. But this person was giving me attention.”

3. Gia caught out over final Dinner Party lie
This week, Gia left Scott and headed back to Melbourne. However, that wasn’t the case at all as she actually stayed in the apartment block in Sydney.
When asked about her lie, Gia lied again and claimed it was production who made her return.
She said: “I don’t know if I can say, but production wanted me to come back and confront Scott. I didn’t want to come back.”
Jules Lund then asked her to elaborate, as production can’t force her to do anything. And that’s when Gia tripped herself up again.
She replied: “Well, it’s not that they made me. But it was my only chance to see Scott again. So, I didn’t know what else to do.”
Jules then asked Gia: “Was that bull[bleep] just then?” but Gia insisted she was “trying to talk around it”.
Gia then explained that production actually just discovered she was in the apartment, and asked if she wanted to go to the dinner party.

4. Why did Gia actually move to the Gold Coast after MAFS Australia?
Shockingly, after her exit from MAFS Australia, Gia actually moved to the Gold Coast with her daughter. When asked about this decision on After The Dinner Party, Gia said it was because her daughter’s dad was out there. But this was later revealed not to be the only reason she moved. As it turned out she tried to “rekindle” her relationship with Scott.
Host Brittany Hockley then confronted Gia over what she had said earlier about Scott.
“If he was so bad, why did you want to rekindle things?” to which Gia backtracked on her earlier comments.
She replied: “I’m not saying he was so bad. He’s not a bad person. I don’t actually think he was horrible. I was still in love with him, and wanted to be with him. But I am not saying he was as bad as me.”

5. What did she have to say about her plan to ‘villainise’ Scott?
During the dinner party, there was a scene of Gia and Bec in the bathroom, talking about how she has to “out-victim” Scott.
Gia told them that her “wish” was to reunite with Scott, but when Laura asked her about the scene in the bathroom, Gia lied once again and said she was more of a victim than Scott.
She explained: “Anyone that was there would know I was more hurt than him. I wish you would play some footage of that, but anyway.”
Laura then pointed out that anyone who actually is a victim shouldn’t have to plan how to come across as one. Not knowing what to say next, Gia blamed the entire thing on being egged on by Bec.

6. Gia called their MAFS Australia romance a ‘showmance’ – but didn’t mean it
When Jules pointed out that once she realised there was no chance of winning Scott back, she went on the attack and accused him of using her for sex, and that they were a “showmance”, Gia tried to defend her actions.
She explained: “I used that as a defence mechanism because I was hurt. I feel like I was protecting myself because he didn’t want me.”
But that doesn’t match what she said earlier about wanting to get back together with him. So, when she was asked if she “regrets” how she behaved, Gia admitted that she does.

7. Gia ‘leaked’ her own new relationship during MAFS Australia
One main part of MAFS Australia is not knowing who made it to the end. However, for Gia and Scott fans, they knew the answer straightaway, as Gia was photographed her new boyfriend, Alan Wallace.
Jules wanted to know if Gia leaked the news herself, or if they were genuinely just caught by the paps. And once again, Gia couldn’t be honest from the start.
She started by insisting: “It got leaked. We were so worried every week that it was going to come out.”
But Jules then said he thinks she leaked it because she didn’t like watching MAFS Australia back and seeing how she treated Scott. And Gia then slipped up in her response..
Gia explained: “It really annoys me how people talk about it being a PR thing. I just am in love with my boyfriend and was like [bleep] it, let’s leak it. I don’t want to keep pretending I’m with Scott.”
When all three hosts called her out for her immediate lie, Gia explained that she “took the photos knowing they would be leaked” but was unaware of when they would go public.
