Coronation Street ITVX episode sees horrified Maria learn the truth about Gary’s involvement in Theo’s murder
Maria now knows the truth
Coronation Street on ITVX today (Wednesday, July 22), saw Maria Connor stumble upon a crucial piece of evidence against Gary Windass.
Sally and Tim’s photo from the night of Carla and Lisa’s wedding re-emerged tonight, causing great anger for Maria.
Maria noticed Gary lurking in the background of the photo and soon confronted him over his lies.
Maria finds incriminating Gary photo in Coronation Street ITVX scenes
Maria was busy doing Sally’s hair tonight while also quietly worrying about Gary’s future following the news that Sarah had been charged.
With Sally showing Maria a photo of her and Tim together, Maria soon spotted Gary by the scaffolding in the background of the photo.
This confirmed to Maria that Gary had lied to her about being at the builder’s yard at the time of Theo’s murder.
Trying to keep this discovery to herself, Maria asked Sally to send her the photo as her ‘hair looked so good’ in it. She made up that she wanted the image for the salon socials.
However, instead, she headed over to the flat and confronted Gary over his whereabouts.
Gary told Maria the truth about Theo murder cover-up
With Maria showing the photo to Gary and demanding answers, Gary had no choice but to hold his hands up and admit what he’d done to help Sarah.
Gary told Maria that he’d helped Sarah cover-up Theo’s murder. He received a call from her after she’d killed Theo. She needed an alibi, with Gary sending a text from Theo’s phone.
He then got rid of the murder weapon. Maria was fuming, telling him that he could’ve said no. She’d made him an accessory to murder.
Later on, Kit confronted Gary on the Street and told him that it wasn’t fair how he could carry on playing happy families. Gary assured him that this wasn’t the case.
Kit was furious that Gary got to walk free without punishment while Sarah was looking at doing a length stretch in prison.
But, with Kit encouraging Sarah to tell the police the truth about Gary’s involvement, does Gary need to worry?
