EastEnders follow-up: Oscar faces return to prison after Jack learns he attacked Patrick
Has Oscar used up his last chance?
Jack Branning learned that nephew Oscar had attacked Patrick Trueman in EastEnders tonight (Thursday, August 21), as a misunderstanding saw the truth about the attack come tumbling out. Suspicious after overhearing an argument between Oscar and Howie, Jack had been determined to get the truth.
Early attempts at getting Oscar and Howie to ‘fess up came to nothing though, and it seemed as though both parties secrets were safe. Not even a scuffle between Oscar and Howie could force out the truth, leaving Jack frustrated.
But, after an illuminating exchange with Lauren, Jack confronted his nephew again later. And this is where the truth came out.

Oscar admitted to attacking Patrick tonight
During their chat, Lauren told Jack how freaked-out Oscar had been sleeping with a knife. Hearing how he’d accidentally attacked Peter, Jack went to give Oscar a piece of his mind.
As he revealed that Lauren had told him what had happened, Oscar got the wrong end of the stick. Thinking Jack was talking about Patrick, Oscar accidentally admitted to being behind the break-in.
Jack was appalled to realise that Oscar had been behind Patrick’s attack. But will he turn his own flesh and blood into the police?
