Is Mack really dead? All we know as killer John strikes again
John chased Mack with a bow and arrow. In tonight’s hour long episode of Emmerdale, Mack appeared to meet a grisly end at the hands of John – but is he really dead?
After discovering that John Sugden was close pals with the removal man who’d identified Owen in the Nate murder investigation, Mack quickly came to the conclusion that John killed Nate.
But in this case, knowledge was not power, as Mack’s life was immediately put in grave danger. John chased after Mack with a crossbow, but is there any chance that he survived the attack?

John chased Mack in Emmerdale
A nervous Mackenzie Boyd stayed quiet while in the van with John, as he tried to figure out what to do about his discovery that John killed Nate. He attempted to text Robert, but was interrupted by John – who said he needed help as there was a problem with the van.
Mack pretended he was only being quiet because he had a headache, but his lie was quickly exposed by John. John called him a bad liar, before asking him: “By now, I’m guessing you’ve joined up the dots?” John then said: “It really would have been better for everyone if you had not seen that photo, better for you.”
Mack claimed he wasn’t fussed about John’s past and said he was just thinking about the stag do he was going to in London. But John menacingly said: “We both know you’re not going to London any more.”
When Mack told John he wasn’t afraid of him, John continued to portray his evil side. He said: “Well that’s your second mistake, isn’t it? Your first was getting into this van.” They had a fight, giving Mack a chance to run off into the woods.
While running, Mack tripped and rolled down a hill. John followed hot on his heels with a bow and arrow.

Mack begged for his life
John insisted that he wasn’t really a murderer – it’s about survival.
Mack tried to run again, but John shot him with an arrow. As Mack fell to the ground, he accidentally answered his phone, with Charity’s voice being heard telling Mack to get to Aaron’s leaving drinks.
John pocketed Mack’s phone, as Mack begged for his life.
He warned Mack to stop talking as it’ll make it worse due to his lungs filling with blood from the arrow piercing his body.
John told Mack he used to hate him as he was too close to Aaron. He then added that he didn’t believe Mack would keep quiet and let his best mate stay married to a killer.
With Mack’s death looking inevitable, John lifted up a big rock and went to bring it down on Mack’s head. Later, a flashback showed the rock coming right down on Mack.
We also saw John wiping blood off his van. We then saw blood in the back, with what looked like a body covered with a blanket. John said to himself: “Guess I really am the bad guy.”

Is Mack dead in Emmerdale?
No official statement has been released regarding Mack’s future on the soap. But The Sun previously revealed that Lawrence Robb, who plays Mack, was leaving Emmerdale.
The publication reported that Mack will die. A source told them: “The scenes are going to be really harrowing for fans to watch. Mackenzie has been in so many scrapes and dangerous positions, but this time it looks like he’s bitten off more than he can chew.”
However, the insider added: “There are huge twists and turns coming throughout this storyline and it’s going to run for months and months.”
So could it later be revealed that Mack isn’t dead after all. Fans certainly believe so, with some coming up with a theory that John will hold Mack hostage instead.
Actor Lawrence Robb appeared on Loose Women last week, but remained tight lipped about the outcome of this story. He said: “Yeah, there are lots of rumours, and rumours they shall remain.”
He added: “Ultimately, if and when the time for Mack to leave comes. Whether that might be my choice or the choice of the writers/producers, I’ll be thankful for the time that I’ve had.
“Ultimately, no one is safe in the show, certainly not in Emmerdale. It’s the most dangerous village in the country.”
