Emmerdale early ITVX release sees huge shock as Joe Tate arrested for attack on Billy
Joe had a lot of reasons to want revenge on Billy*Warning, this article contains Emmerdale spoilers regarding Joe Tate and the recent attack on Billy Fletcher. The episode has not yet aired on TV, but is available to watch on ITVX and YouTube.
After Billy was found unconscious at the Depot, it wasn’t long before fingers started pointing to Joe Tate. And in Emmerdale’s early release, the Tate bad-boy found himself being carted off to the police station.

Billy was attacked in Emmerdale last night
Last night (July 30) Emmerdale ended on an extremely ominous note, as Billy Fletcher was lying on the ground in the Depot, surrounded by a pool of blood.
And while, tonight’s episode picked up with everyone assuming he had a work accident, the police quickly clarified that it was actually an attack. Which led everyone to theorise over who could’ve been responsible.
Unfortunately for Billy, Caleb had to wipe the CCTV footage from the Depot, otherwise their illegal scheme would be outed, so there wasn’t actually any evidence of the guilty party.
However, there are quite a few people who weren’t particularly happy with Billy right before the attack, so it isn’t too surprising that Joe was the one immediately under fire.

Joe is immediately in the frame
After Kerry and Caleb pointed out to the police that Joe had just discovered Billy kissed Dawn and wasn’t happy about it, the investigators knew they had to speak to him for more information.
But just as they were finding this out, Joe confronted Dawn about the kiss. She promised him it meant nothing, and that it was all instigated by Billy. But when Joe showed how upset and annoyed he was, even Dawn had to ask him if he was the one to do the attack.
Joe was horrified that she even had to ask, telling her that no matter how much he disliked Billy, he was still a part of their family because of the kids.
However, this wasn’t enough, as the police arrived and arrested him on suspicion of being the culprit of the attack. Joe told Dawn to call Graham and that he would be back in a few hours because it wasn’t true. But, Dawn didn’t look too convinced.
Is Joe telling the truth? And is this attack enough to turn Dawn against Joe for good? New spoilers indicating Dawn will be at the centre of some huge scenes coming up. So, it’s fair to assume there is more heading our way.
