Gogglebox viewers urge for show to replace Sophie and Pete as sibling duo cause divide
They have been regulars since 2017...Gogglebox viewers have asked the show if sibling duo Sophie and Pete Sandiford can be replaced by a new family.
The hit Channel 4 show returned for another episode on Friday night (March 27), where the cast reacted to many shows from the past week, including Celebrity Bake Off, The Dog House, Saturday Night Live UK, Britain’s Got Talent, Celebrity Sabotage and BBC News on Easter eggs, to name a few.
Siblings Sophie and Pete have remained on Gogglebox as one of the show’s most-loved families since joining for series 10 in 2017. However, based on last night’s reaction, viewers appear to have had enough…
Gogglebox viewers react to Sophie and Pete
“Can we at least end the show with someone else apart from Sophie and Pete. Plenty to pick. Same few get all the limelight,” one user wrote.
“They have had the final say for the past few weeks. Who is giving them so much airtime?” another person asked.
“Honestly @C4Gogglebox just don’t give a [bleep]!!….no matter how many times we ask for them to [bleep] off…nope…every week same old [bleep],” a third remarked.
“Not the Sophie and Pete show again,” a fourth said.
“Why does that Sophie always have to throw her head right back with wide open mouth when she laughs at Pedro’s unfunny jokes?” a fifth asked.

Meanwhile, another added: “No Sophie, what we’re asking is, why do we see so much of you and your brother?”
‘Can’t wait for more’
However, they are also enjoyed by viewers.
“Pete and Sophie are my favorites in #Gogglebox,” one said.
“People criticise Sophie and Pete but I think it’s lovely how close they are. They’re mates as well as siblings and that’s special,” another insisted.
Others also appreciated last night’s episode in general.
“Who doesn’t just love a bit of the terrific delight @C4Gogglebox? The perfect switch to turn your brain off TV any time of the day or night always needs such a wildly entertaining way to spend the time. Can’t wait for more,” one admitted.
