MAFS Australia's Bec Zacharia hits back at trolls ridiculing her mouth as she reveals she's had reconstructive surgery
Bec has fallen victim to keyboard warriorsMAFS Australia’s Bec Zacharia has been forced to reveal she had reconstructive surgery on her chin after receiving cruel trolling over how her mouth looks.
In tonight’s episode of MAFS Australia, Bec is seen breaking down in tears at the latest commitment ceremony.
Bec is worried that her husband Danny Hewitt really did tell Gia she is more his type, as blurted out by Brook at the latest dinner party.

The scenes have already aired in Australia. But as she cried on-screen, some nasty keyboard warriors were particularly mean about the shape of Bec’s mouth.
One ridiculed online: “Her parents should have paid for the orthodontist work when she was little.”
Another added: “Her mouth is ALWAYS agape, it’s like she has to force it to close. I don’t know how Danny can kiss her it makes me feel unwell.”
And someone else wrote on Reddit: I’ve been using her as an example to my partner to convince him to take his kid to the orthodontist!”

But in a lengthy interview, she has since revealed that she needed to have reconstructive surgery on her jaw on a birth deformity.
Hitting back at the trolls, Bec said to the Daily Mail Australia: “Everyone makes comments about why my mouth is like this, or what’s wrong with my jaw.
“But my uncle Michael had to give me reconstructive surgery when I was 20 or 21.”

‘I was born with essentially no chin’
Explaining what the surgery was for, Bec revealed: “I looked a lot different. I’m so happy that I’ve got this sort of jaw and chin now. Before that, it was really bad.
“For my whole life, until my 20s, it was rare that you would see me with my hair up because I hated my jaw and chin so much. I was born with essentially no chin.”
Bec admitted that it was a “huge insecurity” for her throughout her life. She added: “I know people make really negative comments about my mouth and jaw now. But actually, it was a life-changing moment for me.”
Meanwhile, the MAFS bride has admitted she wants her nose done. But she says her uncle is trying to put her off the idea.
Married At First Sight Australia airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on E4.
