The Pitt viewers slam season 2 release schedule after HBO Max UK launch: 'Kill me now'
'What's the point?'
The Pitt may be available on HBO Max in the UK, but its season 2 release schedule has left newcomers disappointed and fearful of spoilers.
The streaming platform first launched in the US last year, but due to all sorts of existing agreements (Sky’s licensing of HBO titles, mainly), you couldn’t sign up in the UK.
Fast-forward to now, and it has finally made it across the pond. As well as The Pitt, you can watch all of the other best shows on HBO Max (Barry, The Sopranos, and every Game of Thrones series, to name a few).
However, there’s a big catch with The Pitt: its second season has a different release schedule compared to North America.

When do new episodes of The Pitt season 2 come out on HBO Max?
If you’re in the UK, a new episode from The Pitt season 2 will be available to stream every Friday on HBO Max.
The streamer’s launch came with the entire first season of The Pitt. However, if you (like us) have already binged it in a single weekend, you were probably hoping to go straight onto season 2.
You’re out of luck. While 12 episodes of the second season have already aired in the US (with just three remaining), the UK is being rationed to one per week.
That means – barring any changes – the season 2 finale won’t air until July 3, 2026. There’s always a chance that multiple episodes drop on a single Friday, so keep your eyes peeled each week.

The Pitt fans fume at ‘ridiculous’ season 2 schedule
It’s not hard to see why UK viewers are frustrated. The Pitt is likely to be among the top reasons for HBO Max sign-ups in the UK, given it didn’t air on Sky.
However, while many assumed they’d be able to catch up with season 2 in time for the finale, that doesn’t appear to be the case. With the series airing the end of the season in the US, spoilers will inevitably hit social media in the coming weeks.
“I bought HBO to watch The Pitt because it just came out in the UK and immediately cancelled because they’re releasing season 2 weekly FROM EP 1 for us? Which makes it impossible to engage with other fans. Ridiculous,” one user complained on X.
Hey there, thanks for contacting us. At the moment you can stream The Pitt Season 1 and the first episode of Season 2. The second episode of Season 2 will be available on April 3. Thank you.

“The entire purpose of getting HBO Max in the UK being defeated for me because they’re releasing season 2 of The Pitt one episode a week 11 weeks behind the US. Like whatever,” another posted.
“The Pitt season 2 is only releasing from the second episode tonight… what’s the point of having HBO in the UK,” a third tweeted.
“Kill me now,” another fan wrote. “This is so unfair,” a fifth posted.
Is there any way to watch The Pitt season 2 early in the UK?
Yes, you may be able to stream new episodes from The Pitt season 2 early – but it’s not guaranteed.
In theory, if you use a VPN, you could switch your location to anywhere in North America and temporarily access HBO Max’s overseas library. In turn, this means you could watch most of season 2 and even the finale as it drops in the US.
However, it’s worth noting that HBO Max is stricter with VPN detection than most streaming platforms, so you may still be geo-blocked. It could be worth a try, though!
