Phil and Julie at war over Nigel's future as his film screening descends into chaos
Nigel's film premiere doesn't go as planned
Phil Mitchell and Julie Bates continue to argue over Nigel’s future in EastEnders spoilers for Mon, Dec 28, as Walford gathers for the premiere of his Christmas film. Divided over what to do amid Nigel’s intensifying dementia symptoms, tensions are already at a high when Nigel grows upset and flees the community centre.
Elsewhere, Jack and Lauren try to talk Max out of doing something rash, while Anthony’s mood has his family worried. And, as Zack stews over Vicki and Ross’s relationship, she tries to distract him by offering advice on a gift for Barney.

1. Nigel flees as his film screening takes a disastrous turn
It’s the day of Nigel’s film premiere, and the Walford excitedly gather at the community centre. However, Phil and Julie are more distracted in arguing about care options for Nigel.
Sam arrives at the event, only for Kat to order her out of the building. She’s left stunned when Julie reveals that Sam has been back in the UK for months.
As the screening gets underway, Nigel gets up to make a speech. However, he notices the bruise on Julie’s face, and realises that he was to blame.
Full of guilt, he flees the building. Phil and Julie set out in search of Nigel, but soon begin arguing again.
Nigel overhears Phil and Julie’s argument and, after confronting them both, demands to be left alone. Full of upset, he heads to the closed-up Queen Vic in search of solace.
2. The family try to talk Max down in EastEnders spoilers
After a secret is exposed, Max is on the warpath. Lauren and Jack launch into damage control mode, and vow to support him.
They believe that they’ve managed to talk Max down, but neither have accounted for Zoe – who offers him some advice. Spurred on by Zoe’s words, Max makes a decision that he may come to regret.

Anthony’s sullen behaviour continues to worry Patrick and the family.

Things grow awkward between Vicki and Zack when he overhears Ross ask if he can move back in. Hoping to cut the tension between the pair, Vicki offers Zack some advice on a Christmas gift for Barney.
