Who is messing with Joe Tate in Emmerdale – and why? Theories, clues and biggest suspects

Someone is out for revenge again
Rebecca Sayers

Someone in Emmerdale is messing with Joe Tate, and he’s not very happy about it. But is it really Billy? Or is someone else plotting against him?

Joe hasn’t got many friends in the village. And after Lydia’s birthday party when his kidney theft and responsibility in the limo crash came out, he was pushed out a window.

While many thought that would be the end of it and Joe would settle into village life quietly. It seems someone still holds a grudge against him. But exactly who is it?

Who is messing with Joe Tate in Emmerdale?

In tonight’s episode (June 25), Joe woke to find his window wide open and all of his medication gone – even the ones in his spare boxes.

Initially, he assumed Lucas had been playing in his room but Sam pointed out that the kids were already at school. So, Joe’s mind went to Billy as he believed he keyed his car the day before.

Joe headed to the Depot to accuse Billy, who was sitting with Kerry at the time. He denied it and when Joe gave him a warning, Billy threw it back in his face telling him he will put him back in his wheelchair.

Later in the pub, Billy and Kerry mocked Joe for his threats, and Sam joked that Joe needs a new Graham – giving Joe an idea.

He met up with his dodgy contact, and told him he wants to teach someone a lesson they won’t forget. And promised to make it worth his while.

But with no proof on who is actually against him, let’s have a look at the theories and clues.

Billy is Joe Tate’s number one suspect

While Billy Fletcher is suspect number one for Joe Tate himself, it seems like it would be too obvious to go down that route.

Yes, Billy has quite a lot to hate Joe for, but it seems like the more Joe accuses Billy, the more innocent he seems.

Dawn

Let’s not forget that Dawn did push Joe out of the window. And while they seem happily in love – could it all be pretend?

She was initially appalled to hear everything he had done, and perhaps she knows he will never be accepted by her kids.

So could Dawn be the one plotting? And realistically she would have complete access to his room to be able to hide his meds and open his window.

Clemmie messing with Joe Tate in Emmerdale?

They may have reached an understanding, but perhaps Clemmie is still afraid of Joe. Or maybe she just still wants Dawn and Billy back together.

But since Joe was targeted in his own room, it would need to be someone with access. And Clemmie lives there.

While Joe ruled her and Lucas out because they were at school, there was nothing stopping her from heading to his room right before she left.

Sam

He may not have many reasons to go against Joe other than he’s a Dingle and Joe is a Tate.

But Sam was conveniently there when Joe needed to talk to someone about it. And was there in the pub to suggest he finds a new Graham.

Perhaps he could be working for someone? Or maybe he just wanted Joe to be taught a lesson too. But Sam could be an unexpected suspected in the mystery.

Kerry has a lot of reasons for revenge against Joe Tate in Emmerdale

While it may be hard for Kerry to sneak in and out of the house without someone noticing her, she does have a lot of reason for wanting to mess with Joe.

Amy only died because Joe drugged Noah, and that’s not something Kerry seemed like she would forget anytime soon.

And she was right beside Billy when Joe tried to threaten him…

Who is messing with Joe Tate in Emmerdale remains to be seen. But it looks like he could have a whole new feud on his hands.

‘Like kissing your grandma!’ MAFS Australia’s Steven finally snogs Rachel but fans can't bear it

MAFS Australia's Steven Danyluk has finally puckered up and given Rachel Gilmore a nice long kiss - but the moment ended up turning fans' stomachs.

Steven was tonight advised by the show's intimacy expert, Alessandra Rampolla, to kiss Rachel for three minutes.

Her suggestion came after Rachel and Steven's first attempt at Intimacy Week ended in disaster.

Rachel had blindfolded herself in last night's episode before holding up a series of cards, Love Actually-style.

The final one simply said: "Kiss me." But Steven refused, telling his new wife they are 'more like room mates'.

It was supposed to be Ultimate Fantasy Night, but Rachel ended up in tears.

Alessandra wasn't impressed. Even fellow groom Danny Hewitt quipped tonight: "Men used to die in tenches and fight wars. And now he's too scared to even give his Mrs a kiss."

MAFS Australia: Steven and Rachel finally kiss

Later in tonight's show, Steven and Rachel received a letter from Alessandra. It suggested they had another go at kissing.

"Share a long passionate kiss," it read. "Your goal is to make your partner feel seen, wanted and desired.

"If you're comfortable, I encourage you to kiss for three minutes with no distractions and no hesitation. With just passion, presence and connection."

Rachel told Steven she would follow his lead if he wanted to try it. He told her it had "been a while" since he'd kissed anyone.

The couple agreed that three minutes was too long, before Steven announced: "Do you know what, [bleep] it. Just give me a kiss, damn it!"

He then grabbed Rachel and they shared an awkward kiss, lasting less than one minute.

Afterwards, Steven asked Rachel how it was. "And you said you were a bad kisser," she replied. "It was good!"

Back in front of the camera, Steven was grinning like a Cheshire Cat. He whooped: "I've still got it!"

But the kiss made fans at home cringe.

'Like kissing your grandma'

Viewers were quick to discuss Rachel and Steven's kiss on Reddit. And unfortunately for Steven, one person compared it to 'kissing your grandma'. Eek.

"I wouldn’t be surprised he has never kissed a girl before the way he kissed Rachel at the end That’s how I kiss my grandma jeez," they said.

Another added: "At least he’s done it. But ugh. So awkward!"

A third remarked: "He was pulling his head back the whole time and leaning backwards as soon as it finished like in a way that looked painful."

And a four wrote: "Whelp, Steven can't kiss can he!"

And someone else wrote online: "Steven finally kisses Rachel (feels forced to do it), and after doing it, they both smile and laugh…and then he goes for a hug instead of for another kiss. He’s so not into her."

It seems not everyone has high hopes for this marriage...
