Summer journal and brooch discovery in Coronation Street

There was major drama on the cobbles tonight as Summer found herself under even more suspicion in Theo’s murder case – and things are starting to look very bad for her indeed.

While Christina spent the day quietly working on some tapestry, George decided to keep himself busy by having a tidy-up instead. But when he picked up some of Summer’s things from the floor, her journal accidentally fell open to a shocking page.

In the entry, Summer had written about wanting to put a gun to Theo’s head and make him pay, leaving George seriously alarmed. He quickly showed Christina the journal, only for Summer to walk in and catch them snooping through her belongings.

Panicking, Summer later confided in Todd before trying to burn the journal in the fire, desperate to destroy anything that could look suspicious. But George and Christina caught her in the act and immediately questioned why she’d destroy it if she had nothing to hide.

Meanwhile, over at the police station, Lisa discovered another huge clue when wedding photos revealed Summer wearing the same brooch found in Todd and Theo’s flat.

But has Summer really killed Theo?

Coronation Street spoilers reveal suspect Summer’s escape plan

Summer finds herself in serious trouble later this week as Theo’s murder investigation takes another huge twist – and all fingers suddenly seem to be pointing at her.

Things spiral after George stumbles across a chilling entry in Summer’s journal describing putting a gun to Theo’s head. If that wasn’t damaging enough, Kit later notices another worrying clue while looking through Lisa’s wedding photos, seemingly placing Summer right at the centre of the case.

Before long, Lisa brings Summer in for questioning despite Todd desperately insisting there’s no way she could be responsible.

As tensions rise, George opens up about what he witnessed on the night Theo died, but Summer reacts badly to the accusations and shockingly turns the blame onto George himself, suggesting he could be the real killer.

Meanwhile, Christina’s false statements to the police only make matters worse. George eventually confesses that Lisa knows about Summer’s suspicious behaviour.

Terrified the police will arrest her, Summer secretly makes plans to flee to America and tells Todd she’s jetting off that very afternoon.

But just as she prepares to leave Weatherfield, Summer suddenly remembers a witness who might finally be able to prove her innocence once and for all.
