EastEnders star Clair Norris has reportedly joined Vinted and is selling her old clothes online, three months after departing the soap. Her character, Bernie Taylor, left Walford in July after being axed from the soap. In doing so, she fleed Albert Square with a wedge of Ravi and the Panesars’ money in her back pocket.

As reported by The Daily Mail, she has now set up a Vinted account where she is selling her old clothes and personal items for as cheaply as £3.

Clair shared news of her new venture via an Instagram Story, where she posted a selfie with the caption “Closet Clear-Out Alert.”

She added: “Your next fave might be chilling in my Vinted.”

According to The Mail, clothing items listed include a range of blouses, T-shirts, jumpers, and dresses. Many items are priced as cheaply as £3. She is also said to be selling a Sex In The City box set, and a copy of Daisy May Cooper’s 2021 memoir, Don’t Laugh, It’ll Only Encourage Her.

Why did Clair Norris leave EastEnders?

In May this year, the BBC confirmed that they were writing Bernie Taylor out of the show. This came under the stewardship of new Executive Producer Ben Wadey, whose first act was to bid farewell to Bernie, and her best friend Felix Baker.

A source told The Sun at the time: “Every time a soap gets a new boss, they want to make their own changes. It’s nothing personal.”

Of her exit, Clair said: “Obviously it’s upsetting. But also I’d been there for eight years, which is a long time to play a character, and I have absolutely loved being in the show.

“They gave me the opportunity to learn on the job and also now I am able to take that onto other things that I do. Of course, it’s sad. But at the same time, it felt like a natural end. With the Taylors being gone, it kind of felt right. I’m now very excited about the future.”
