1. Mark’s return spells danger for Ravi in EastEnders spoilers

Mark Jr. made his surprise return to Walford this month, arriving on uncle Phil’s doorstep in a battered and bloodied state. Mark lied to the rest of the family about why he was back, but soon confessed to Phil that he was in a spot of trouble.

He was involved with some dangerous people – the same folk Ravi’s informing on – and they’re convinced he’s a rat. Mark demanded that Phil help him find the real informant, to which he reluctantly agreed.

This is bad news for Ravi, who’s currently working with Jack to bring down his drug-dealing bosses. With Mark and Ravi set to become friends next week, will Mark put Ravi and his family in grave danger?

2. Jasmine’s still missing in EastEnders spoilers

So now we know – Jasmine killed Anthony on Christmas night. And, with Zoe on the hook for his murder, Jasmine’s keeping her secret well-hidden.

She attempted to escape consequences (and her family) by fleeing Walford with boyfriend Oscar, but this backfired when Max got involved. She lied about his trying to kiss her, and while Oscar believed her falsehoods, Lauren and Max both managed to stop her escape by confronting her about her (other) lies to Kat.

Soon afterwards, Jasmine disappeared. But where has Jasmine gone?

Has she run away from Walford… or might one of her many enemies made her disappear? With Jake Moon having a connection to Chrissie, could his return to Walford shed some light on Jasmine’s whereabouts?

3. The search for Zoe’s son continues in EastEnders spoilers

Between Jasmine’s arrival in Walford, Chrissie’s revenge, and the Anthony murder rap, Zoe’s had a lot on her hands lately. This means that she’s had no time to continue the search for her long-lost son, and Jasmine’s twin brother.

With Anthony’s death looking increasingly like self-defence (and a self-defence that she was entirely innocent of), it seems that Zoe’s fate might not be as grim as we’d first assumed. So long as Jasmine comes clean about what really happened, that is.

But after that? The search for Zoe’s son is bound to continue eventually. But is she prepared for what she’ll find?

4. Nigel’s future revealed

Following an emotional Christmas period for Nigel, Phil revealed his plan to take his friend to Portugal to live out his final days in peace. This plan was scuppered thanks to Mark’s return, and Julie was furious to learn what Phil had been up to.

Tragedy almost struck when Nigel almost drowned in the bath while in Phil’s care. While Nigel is still on the road to recovery, the incident made Phil realise that Nigel needed 24-hour care. Phil and Julie made the heartbreaking decision to accept a place at a care home for Nigel. But will this be the turning point they all need?

Whatever happens, it’s clear that there won’t be a dry eye in the house when the time comes.

5. It’s the year of Max Branning

EastEnders made history with a whole episode dedicated to Max Branning’s future. Set on January 1, 2027, this explosive flashforward revealed that a tumultuous year is on the cards for Max – not least his impending wedding to a mystery woman.

But who’s Max marrying? And what of the pregnant woman in his bed? Whose is the baby in brother Jack’s care? And who’s the gunman threatening Oscar and Lauren?

So many questions! Thankfully, EastEnders promises to answer them all before the year is out. One thing’s for sure – fans won’t want to miss a moment of it!

6. Libby returns in EastEnders spoilers

Among the revelations of Max Branning’s flashforward episode was the news that Libby Fox will be returning to Albert Square! Denise’s booksmart daughter left Walford in 2010, and hasn’t been seen since.

Viewers won’t have to wait much longer for her return though – as Max’s flashforward revealed that she’ll be back before the year is out!

But what brings Libby back to Walford?

7. Bea sets her sights on Honey

Bea has not only wormed her way into Honey’s life by befriending her, but she also played a part in Honey losing her job recently. Spoilers have revealed that Bea is set to house sit for Honey and Billy next week, meaning she has now made her way into Honey’s home, too.

But what is she up to? Fans are convinced that Bea is trying to steal Honey’s life – could they be right?

8. Jake Moon is back, and he brings trouble with him

Jake is back and wants answers from Zoe about what happened at Christmas. He also reveals that Chrissie’s revenge plan to ruin her has caused them to split up.

Shocked by what Zoe tells him, Jake decides that things really are over with Chrissie. However, when Zoe asks him to help her prove she is innocent, he refuses.

Later, Vicki and Kat join forces to find Jake, determined that he is the one who can free Zoe. Kat finds Jake and convinces him to go and see Alfie. The cousins have an emotional reunion, and Jake agrees to stay.

However, there is trouble on the cards when Jake comes face-to-face with Phil. Phil advises Jake to do the right thing by Kat and Alfie, so he comes up with a plan to lure Chrissie back to Walford.

As Jake and Kat wait for Chrissie to arrive, Jake is nervous. Will she turn up?
