A former client of Johnny’s law firm and an old university pal, Tim has wasted little time in getting between Johnny and Callum, and it seems he will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Most recently, he has been blackmailing Callum. He wants Callum to use his job at the police to dig up some dirt on someone he knows. But when Callum refused, he tricked him into breaking into his house and caught the whole thing on CCTV. Tim later used this to manipulate Callum, telling him to do what he asked, or his boss at the police would see the incriminating footage. Desperate to protect Callum and his job, Johnny stepped in. But Tim told him he would only delete the video if Johnny slept with him. Nice guy…! After making his Walford debut back in October last year, Tim has been flashing the cash and impressing everyone with his expensive taste in drinks ever since. Tim’s arrival came as Johnny mooted a new business idea. Having been fired for drunkenly messaging a business proposal to his entire clients’ list (including his boss), Johnny was intrigued when Tim got in touch. The pair met up in the soap on Tuesday, October 21, to the surprise (and maybe even jealousy) of Callum. Zoe also took an interest, pouring Tim a drink as they exchanged charged banter at the bar of The Vic.Don't miss a single story! But who is Tim – and who is the actor who plays him? Tim has been blackmailing Callum and Johnny (Credit: BBC) Who plays Johnny’s friend Tim on EastEnders? Credited as Timothy Walton in the final credits, Tim is played by actor Tom Ratcliffe. Prior to appearing in EastEnders, Tom made his film debut in Once Upon A Time in London in 2019, where he appeared briefly as Teenager #3. In 2023, he played a character called Englebert in the TV series Patterns, and showed up as Adam Blake in the 2024 series Queenie. He has an extensive background in theatre, having written a number of plays for the stage, and also directed Breeding, by Barry McStay in 2024, and Fame Whore, by himself and Gigi Zahir in 2022. On his website, Tom describes the role of Tim as ‘recurring’ – meaning that we can expect to see Tim pop up again in future episodes.
