Annoyed at being confronted with his own wrongdoing, Jack lashes back, reminding Denise of her affair with Ravi. But what happened between Ravi and Denise? Join us as we revisit one of EastEnders’ most scandalous affairs. Denise was tempted to cheat on Jack (Credit: BBC/YouTube) EastEnders’ Ravi and Denise affair: First meeting and hotel rendezvous After arriving in the Square in 2022, Ravi began to flirt with married woman Denise. Sensing their mutual attraction, he attempted to seduce her on several occasions – although she turned him down each time. The pair finally shared a kiss on Valentine’s Day 2023, after Denise felt neglected by Jack. At the same time, it was revealed that police officer Jack had been working on a case which involved Ravi, in an attempt to bring him down. Although they shared another kiss, Denise ultimately had second thoughts, and called off their affair before they could take things to the next level. Full of guilt, she returned home, freshly committed to Jack. Meanwhile, investigations into Ravi’s criminal activities had picked up pace. Jack tasked a recently-promoted Callum with investigating Ravi, who promptly checked the CCTV from the hotel. Seeing Denise on the footage, Callum realised that Denise had been having an affair. Callum warned Denise off, telling her to stay away from Ravi, or else he’d tell Jack. In an attempt to get Ravi to stay away, Denise told him about the investigation. She was left duly shocked when Ravi blackmailed her for information. Ravi tried to manipulate Chelsea by seducing her daughter (Credit: BBC) Relationship with Chelsea In an attempt to learn more about Jack’s investigation, Ravi struck up a relationship with Chelsea. Playing games with Denise, Ravi made a show of romancing Chelsea – even inviting her to the hotel where they’d met up. News of Denise and Ravi’s affair began to spread when Kim and Denzel stumbled across a text from Ravi on her phone. Denzel then told Amy, who confronted Denise. While Denise was successful in swearing Amy to secrecy, her guilt eventually got too much to bear, and she admitted the affair to Jack. Ravi and Chelsea didn’t last long after that. Although they made numerous attempts to reconcile, Chelsea was unable to look past his relationship with her mum, and ultimately broke things off for good. Furious at Jack for sleeping with Stacey Slater, Denise grew tempted to return to Ravi’s arms. Ravi, meanwhile, had also come to realise the extent of his feelings for Denise, and was determined to win her back. The pair’s will-they-won’t-they romance culminated in EastEnders 40th anniversary week, in which viewers voted which man Denise would end up with. As the results were revealed in a special live episode, Denise knocked on the door of the man she’d chosen – Jack.
