When and where to watch Classic EastEnders

There are so many episodes to catch up on!

Classic EastEnders is a proper treat, giving diehard fans the chance to relive some of their favourite episodes and catch up with old friends.

While newcomers to the soap get the opportunity to watch some of the most legendary episodes for the first time and get to know the backstories of some iconic characters.

Where can you watch Classic EastEnders?

There are two episodes of Classic EastEnders aired every weekday on U&Drama.

What time is Classic EastEnders on?

Classic EastEnders is on Monday to Friday with one episode being aired at 1.40pm, followed by another episode straight afterwards at 2.05pm.

What’s happening in Classic EastEnders at the moment?

The episodes of Classic EastEnders that are currently airing are – of course – full of drama! U&Drama is currently airing episodes from 2008 and they’re pretty good!

Remember mad May? Well, she’s right in the thick of the excitement at the moment. She’s returned to Albert Square, wanting to see Dawn’s baby Summer – the one she almost managed to kidnap as a newborn.

Elsewhere, Max and Tanya are at each other’s throats – what else is new?!

Stacey and Bradley are back together but for how long? Peggy’s keeping secrets from Ronnie and different secrets from Roxy. And Billy and Honey are determined to step up and help their family.

Is there anywhere else to watch Classic EastEnders?

Thankfully for devoted EastEnders fans, BBC iPlayer has an amazing selection of Classic EastEnders episodes available.

Every episode from 2008 is available to watch, starting with Frank Butcher’s funeral when his two former wives – Pat and Peggy – argued over arrangements.

Other drama from that year included Roxy and Sean’s fiery romance, and Roxy’s pregnancy, the shocking story of Tony grooming a then teenaged Whitney, and evil Archie Mitchell wreaking havoc in Walford.

EastEnders fans are really spoiled for choice because there are all sorts of other episodes available on BBC iPlayer.

Classic Christmas

And if you’re feeling festive there are some classic Christmas episodes available too. That means you can catch up with every Christmas episode from 1986. And trust us, there are some CRACKERS in among all that lot!

If that’s still not enough to keep you entertained then there are also some more classic episodes available – you know, the ones that got everyone talking at the time?

There’s the OG who’s the daddy storyline when teenager Michelle was expecting Vicki. There’s Sharon and Grant’s wedding, not to mention the amazing Sharongate reveal.

There are some tragic deaths – Tiffany being run over, Steve murdering Saskia, and Nigel’s wife Debbie dying.

There are some iconic eps including Ethel passing away, who shot Phil, and Kat and Zoe’s brilliant ‘you ain’t my mother’!
