The Mitchell men’s position in Walford hung in the balance in EastEnders tonight (Wednesday, December 10), as Harry and Teddy both suffered severe consequences for recent events. Receiving his sentence for Okie’s ‘murder,’ a devastated Teddy learned his fate… 20 years in prison.

In the wake of Teddy’s sentencing, Harry resorted to drugs again, and suffered another devastating overdose.

But what does this mean for Teddy and Harry? We know that actor Roland Manookian is leaving the soap, but what about Elijah Holloway, who plays screen son Harry?

Here’s everything that happened in EastEnders tonight – and what happens next.

Teddy’s verdict revealed

With Harry still missing after last night’s events, George and Nicola launched a search party for the missing Mitchell lad.

At the courthouse, as Teddy prepared for his big day, Barney, Nicola set off for the trial – with Zack tagging along for the ride. Meanwhile, Gina had managed to find Harry and, after learning the truth about Okie’s death, convinced him to nip in to hear Teddy’s verdict.

He arrived just in time to hear a judge sentence Teddy to 20 years (!) in prison for Okie’s murder.

Harry suffers another overdose in EastEnders tonight

In the wake of the trial, Barney took the decision to move out of the family home, and in with Zack. As Nicola argued with Zack, Gina panicked about Harry, who had gone missing from the house again.

She rushed across the street to The Arches, where she discovered Harry inside. She was horrified to find Harry unresponsive and struggling to breathe… having suffered another overdose.

Are Harry and Teddy leaving EastEnders?

Earlier this week, the soap confirmed that actor Roland Manookian will be departing his role after only 18 months on Albert Square. A spokesperson for the BBC told The Sun: “We can confirm Roland will be leaving EastEnders this year, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

It looks as though that’s Teddy’s fate sealed, then.

As for Harry, EastEnders spoilers for tomorrow (Thursday, December 11) reveal that Nicola and Jack jump to action when Gina raises the alarm. It seems as though he pulls through too, as he’s still very much alive and well in Christmas spoilers for the weeks ahead.

What else happened in EastEnders tonight?

Tonight's EastEnders may have been all about the Mitchell men, but we can't let Sam slip under the radar. She had skipped her doctor's appointment to follow through on her plot to fleece Nigel - to the chagrin of Phil, Jack and the rest of the family.

Meanwhile, Kim sobered up, Lauren planned a party, and Elaine worried about plans for her Peacock Palace.

Here's everything else that happened in EastEnders tonight.

Sam took advantage of Nigel

At the Mitchells, Nigel was still under the illusion that Sam is Clare. She was happy to play along and, at the café, helped him to prepare paperwork for her cash transfer. Phil was at The Arches when he received a call from Denise, who informed him that Sam had skipped her doctor's appointment.

Sam now missing with Nigel, Julie set off to find them both. En route to the bank, Sam suffered a change of heart - although not enough to talk Nigel out of transferring her the money.

After learning about Sam and Nigel's conversation from Kathy, Phil, Julie and Ricky Jr. managed to track down the missing pair. They were aghast when Nigel blurted out the truth about the cash.

How will the family react to news of Sam's scam?

Lauren made plans

Lauren set about arranging an 18th birthday party for Oscar at the Albert.

Kim had a sobering realisation

Kim was dismayed to hear that she'd agreed to sell her car for Yolande's raffle. She tried to talk Patrick into changing Yolande's mind, but he was adamant that Kim follow through on her promise.

When she suggested that they spend the money on themselves, Patrick snapped, iterating how money had brought the Truemans nothing but trouble so far. She bumped into Howie, who assured her and Denzel that he'd returned the ring to Penny, smoothing everything over.

Is Kim having second thoughts about future with Howie?

Peacock Palace in peril

Overhearing plans for Elaine's Peacock Palace, Ian smugly threatened to follow up and check her planning permissions were all in order. Is Elaine's new venture doomed from the start?
