The news came like a sledgehammer to the already struggling mum, who blames herself for the fact that her son is lying in a hospital bed. Yesterday’s episode saw Chelsea and Ian come face-to-face for the first time since the accident when Ian visited with a teddy and chocolates. But, instead of there being a huge showdown between the pair, fans were relieved to see Chelsea admit to Ian that she was to blame for what happened after shouting at Jordan at Ross and Vicki’s wedding. Ian did his best to reassure Chelsea that she was a good mum, and the pair came to an understanding that what happened to Jordan was a terrible accident for which they were both at fault. However, things took a shocking turn today when Chelsea struggled to process the news her four-year-old might spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. She was fuming to find him relaxing with a beer while she had just told her son that he might never walk again. He apologised profusely, but instead of accepting his apology, Chelsea slapped him. Ian was shocked by how much Chelsea had changed her tune since they were at the hospital. She then drunkenly messed about with the radio, momentarily distracting Ian… “Jordan’s accident happened over a week ago, yet Kathy is yet to be questioned by the police?” pointed out one fan on X. “I agree, Ian is in no way the only one to blame here. Libby’s arrival will then spark a new chain of events for Chelsea when she tries to help her. With Chelsea unable to work due to looking after Jordan, she confides in Libby that Gray’s nan, Sheila, sends cheques for Jordan. However, she has never cashed them.
