Sam Mitchell’s return continued

Zoe was shocked to see Sam back on the Square. After beating a hasty retreat, she snuck into Phil’s home and attempted to unlock his safe.

She was caught in the act there by Nigel, who initially mistook her for Clare. After offering some kind words to confused Nigel (and taking the cash), Sam snuck back out again, where she was confronted by Zoe.

Zoe demanded to know whether she’d been responsible for her stalking. Sam, however, insisted that she was innocent of that particular crime – maintaining that she had better things to do with her time than stalking an old acquaintance.

Meanwhile, back home, Phil was shocked to learn that someone had helped themselves to the contents of his safe. Hearing tell of a middle-aged blonde woman, Phil assumed that it had been Nicola, and stormed off to reclaim his money.

He quickly realised the truth when he spotted Kat in a tense exchange with his sister, Sam.

Sam revealed her cancer fears in EastEnders tonight

After giving her brother the slip, Sam arranged to meet with Ricky Jr. An emotional Sam caught up with her son at McClunky’s, and piqued his concern with her odd behaviour.

She was planning on giving him the money she’d stolen from Phil, leaving it in an account to accrue interest. But before she could share the full story, Jack arrived, demanding to know what she was doing back in Walford.

Seeing how Sam’s visit had rattled their son, Jack followed her to Walford tube station. Demanding to know what she was up to, Jack forced a confession from his ex… she’d found a lump, and was convinced that she’s dying.

What happens in EastEnders next as the family confront Sam over cancer scare

As the story continues tomorrow, Jack is concerned to hear that Sam hasn’t seen a doctor yet. Their conversation is interrupted by Phil, who demands his stolen money back.

Later, Denise sits down to talk to Sam about her health concerns. While Sam refuses to see a doctor, the pair agree upon a deal.

Later, Sam sists down for a family meal with Ricky Jr. and Lily. However, she soon realises that Jack and Denise are bluffing about the deal.

She goes to see Phil, where another plan arises.

What else happened in EastEnders tonight?

As Sam continued to set the cat among the pigeons, another Mitchell woman was having a tough time of it across the Square. With Harry continuing to struggle with his drug addiction, he was horrified to hear that his dad was pleading guilty to Okie's murder charge.

Full of guilt, he decided to confess to the crime. Can Nicola convince Harry to stay his hand?

Elsewhere, Kat tried to warn Anthony away from Zoe, while Kim turned to booze to mend her broken heart.

Here's everything else that happened in EastEnders tonight.

Nicola dropped a baby bombshell as Harry went to confess

Harry attempted to hit up his mum for money to buy drugs. He insisted that he'd be fine once his dad was found innocent - and attempted to blackmail her with knowledge of the baby in her belly.

Concerned about Harry after news of Teddy's sentencing made the front page, George swung by to see Harry. Harry was horrified to hear that his dad was pleading guilty, and immediately broke down in the former boxer's arms.

He admitted that he'd killed Okie, to George's shock and horror. Thoughts of his own father's trial ringing in his head, George encouraged him to do the right thing... and confess.

Nicola returned home to find Harry and George ready to go to the police. Desperate to stop him from leaving her, Nicola attempted to appeal to George to stop it all, revealing that she was pregnant with his child.

Kat issued a warning

After hearing about Anthony's restraining order from a drunken Kim, Kat was concerned for her daughter. She confronted Anthony when he arrived at The Vic, accusing him of stalking Zoe to keep her reliant upon him.

Back home, a furious Anthony began laying into the hard stuff when Patrick returned home. He tried to offer his son a word of advice when Anthony snapped, screaming back at his dad.

Kim drowned her sorrows

In the wake of last week's events, Denzel revealed that his dad had been staying at a mate's place. Although she questioned why Anthony was still around, Yolande insisted that they'd be sticking by the doctor in his time of need.

Drowning her sorrows at The Vic, Kim offered up her car as a prize for Kim's raffle.
