Lauren got Oscar to open up about his past (Credit: BBC) Oscar made a deal with Mike in EastEnders tonight After attacking Peter, Oscar had used up his last chance, and was out on his ear. As he packed his bags, Lauren tried to do some digging and find out what had him so spooked – other than the whole Mike thing, of course. He revealed that he’d had a hard time of it in the Young Offender’s Institute, and had copped a beating every night for his trouble. Sensing how troubled her brother was, she relented, and agreed to let him stay. Peter wasn’t so keen though, and was more concerned about the safety of the boys than Oscar. Annoyed by his reaction, Lauren stormed off in a huff, telling him how she would be attending Jimmy’s support meeting alone. As he skulked off, bags packed, Oscar reminded Peter how foolish he’d been to let Lauren leave for the support meeting alone. Finagling one last shift, Oscar took over at the stall while Peter joined his wife-to-be and son at the support group. Back on the market, Oscar received another visit from ‘menacing’ Mike and even-less-menacing Harrison. Realising that violence wasn’t the answer, Oscar attempted to buy his way out of trouble, handing over Peter’s takings to Mike and Harrison. Panicking that Peter would never let him stay now, Oscar had to make up the £100 he’d just let Mike take. After convincing Billy Mitchell to buy his shoes he was back on easy street – especially with the news that Peter had reconsidered, and agreed to let Oscar keep his home and his job. He wasn’t entirely in the clear though – Mike wants £2000, or else. Will Oscar find the cash to pay Mike off? Suki got her way (Credit: BBC) Suki got what she wanted It was the day of Avani’s appointment, and she was all set. Still angling after her unborn child, Suki tried a different tact, and offered to go along with her. Recognising that this was another attempt of Suki’s to try and talk her out of the abortion, Avani realised. Later in the café, Suki collared Barney, bullying the location of her appointment out of him. She caught up with her granddaughter on the tube, explaining that she was there for moral support, and not to continue the hard-sell. At the clinic, she promptly continued the hard-sell, offering her financial incentive to keep the baby, along with the emotional blackmail. The going price of a baby these days? ‘Enough.’ And that was enough for Avani, who agreed to go along with the whole insane plan. Kat and Alfie almost made a huge mistake (Credit: BBC) Kat and Alfie tried to fire Tracey in EastEnders tonight Freddie was angling for a job at The Vic. A new barman wasn’t in the budget, but Freddie had an idea – force Tracey into retirement so as to make the pub entirely family-run. Kat was surprisingly on board with the plan, and left it to Alfie to deliver the bad news. Attempting to smooth over the situation, he tried to palm Tracey off on Ravi, swapping her job at The Vic for his position at The Minute Mart instead. However, Tracey wasn’t to be manipulated, and later told Alfie that she’d turned down the job. Annoyed at Alfie’s lack of success, Kat took matters into her own hands and took Tracey aside for a little chat herself. Turns out, Kat couldn’t go through with it either, and had accidentally given her a pay rise and the night off instead. Probably for the best, as Freddie can’t pour a pint to save his life. Fire Tracey? Unthinkable! George’s protectiveness is starting to get on Kojo’s nerves (Credit: BBC) George pooped Kojo’s party Ravi handed Harry the details of his next job. Overhearing talk of a ‘party,’ Kojo wanted to go with, but was deflated when both Harry and George forbade him from going. As it turns out, that’s probably for the best, but George is getting a bit big for his boots these days. And, as they shared an awkward spaghetti bolognese dinner in the flat later, Kojo told him as much. Can George learn to butt out before he drives his brother away?
