Kat and Chrissie join forces against Jasmine next week as more shocking murder details emerge

The mystery surrounding Anthony's murder is far from over...

Chrissie Watts was always going to bring fireworks with her when she returned to Walford, but today’s EastEnders saw the drama kick off spectacularly when she came face-to-face with Kat Moon.

With Alfie flying to the other side of the world to see Spencer, it was left up to Jake and Kat to meet up with Chrissie and get a confession out of her.

Chrissie returned

Jake was nervous about seeing his ex after months apart. While he waited in the park for Chrissy to arrive, Kat hid in the background.

Chrissie arrived, and soon the tension melted away as she and Jake chatted about what went wrong in their romance. However, what Chrissie didn’t know was that Jake was recording everything she said on his phone.

As Jake brought up the subject of Jasmine and Christmas Day, Chrissie was stunned when he asked if she killed Anthony.

Chrissie pointed out that it would be mad to kill someone she didn’t even know and risk going back to jail, and Jake realised she had a point.

As the truth that Chrissie didn’t kill Anthony dawned on Jake, Kat appeared. She lashed out at Chrissie, demanding a confession for Anthony’s murder. But while Chrissie protested her innocence, Kat called the police.

Knowing Kat had the wrong person, Jake grabbed Kat’s phone and threw it into the pond. He and Chrissie made a run for it, and Kat was left no closer to getting Zoe out of jail.

EastEnders: Chrissie confronted Kat

Later, Chrissie and Jake had a heart-to-heart in the car. Jake told Chrissie that he loved her and believed she had nothing to do with Anthony’s death.

As they headed to The Vic for a drink, Chrissie went upstairs to finally confront Kat.

After some sniping between the women and plenty of home truths, Chrissie finally worked out what really happened to Anthony the night he died.

Despite it taking weeks for Kat to see the truth, it took Chrissie moments to realise that if it wasn’t Zoe who killed Anthony, then it must have been Jasmine.

Kat was stunned by the revelation, but what will she do with this newfound information?

The drama continues next week

Knowing that she needs to bring Jasmine home, Kat follows a tip-off from Chrissie to find her. She brings her back to The Vic, where Jake and Chrissie are waiting.

Jasmine is shocked to see Chrissie and quickly realises Kat has joined forces with her to get her back to Walford.

As the week continues, Jasmine is set to be arrested for Anthrtony’s murder. But will anyone believe that she acted in self-defence?

What else happened in EastEnders tonight?

As well as Chrissie's dramatic showdown with Kat, Linda discovered Max had been lying to her and Elaine was taken away by the police.

Elsewhere, Bea manipulated Honey once again.

Linda uncovered Max's lies

Jealous of Linda and Max's blossoming romance, Bea ruined it all by telling Elaine that Louie was Ollie's bully - and that Max knew. Elaine couldn't wait to tell Linda, who was understandably upset, given that she and Max kissed the night before.

Linda confronted Max, who was forced to admit he'd covered the truth.

Linda also lashed out at Lauren, telling her that mums are meant to stick together. But when Lauren said she wanted to tell her, Linda realised Max asked her to keep quiet.

Max tried to apologise, but Linda gave him one more chance to be honest and asked if he found out about Louie before or after they kissed.

He lied that it was afterwards, but she knew he was fibbing and was left heartbroken.

The police questioned Elaine

Later, Elaine took Ollie for a milkshake, but she saw Louie on the way. She confronted him, grabbing his arm in front of everyone.

That afternoon, the two families had a big fight, with Ian goading Elaine as usual.

Eventually, the police arrived, and it turned out Ian had made a complaint against Elaine. She was carted off to the station, as Ian looked on smugly.

Bea twisted things with Honey

Honey tried to tell Bea that she couldn't stay at their house while they were on holiday because the landlord wanted to do repairs.

Desperate not to be homeless, Bea manipulated Honey by convincing her she needed her there as a project manager.

As Bea spun her web, Honey went from telling Bea she couldn't move in to thanking her for overseeing the building work.

Is Honey ever going to see Bea for who she really is?
