Prison exit fears for Teddy as he confesses to killing Okie

Teddy takes the blame

Teddy Mitchell took the blame for killing Okie in EastEnders tonight (Tuesday, November 11)- but is he leaving the soap? This came as a brutal showdown took place between Harry and Okie, as the local drug dealer cornered Kojo, threatening him with a knife.

With Kojo once again in danger, Harry leapt to action – accidentally stabbing him in the process. Teddy was horrified to discover what his son had done, and was determined to protect Harry. And, as he and Nicola took action, Teddy confessed to killing Okie.

This, in turn, sparked fear from EastEnders fans that Teddy could be leaving the soap. Here’s what happened in EastEnders tonight.

Harry killed Okie in EastEnders tonight

Okie had Kojo cornered in the flat. After demanding to know what they’d told the police, Okie took Kojo’s phone, and dropped Harry a message.

And where was Harry? Out, trying to score drugs to satisfy his withdrawal symptoms. Dropping everything, he returned to the flat, where Harry was threatening Kojo with a knife.

Once again, he demanded to know what Harry and Kojo had told the police. As Kojo made a run for it, a fight broke out between Harry and Okie (not bad, for a guy who’s been chained to a radiator for the best part of a month.

As their fight turned nasty, Harry reached for the knife – only for Okie to jump on top of him, copping a knife in the gut as he fell.

Setting aside all their differences for the moment, Harry rushed to Okie’s side, cradling him as he lay dying. “I just want my mum, man,” Okie said, as he died.

Ravi copped a beating as Nicola told Honey about the pregnancy

Across the street, Teddy was across the street at McKlunky’s, with Barney. Filling him in on everything that had happened with Harry, Teddy apologised for all the recent secrets and lies – and promised that he’d always be there for him.

Phil informed George that Ravi had been released. At home with Priya, Ravi attempted to justify his actions to Priya, when George arrived. George was about to let Ravi off with a warning when the neighbourhood drug dealer decided to prod the bear instead.

After describing Kojo as a ‘burden’ to George, Ravi earned himself a pasting from the ex-boxer – thereby garnering (a modicum of) the sympathy he so craved from Priya. He explained the situation he’d been in, and how he’d only done what he did to protect her and the kids.

Meanwhile, Nicola was stressed-out by a busy night at Harry’s Barn. After growing frustrated by Honey being, well, Honey, Nicola stormed off. Realising that something was up, Honey followed, and encouraged her to open up. Nicola revealed that she was pregnant – and that the baby’s George’s.

Teddy handed himself into the police in EastEnders tonight

Leaving Barney at McKlunky’s, Teddy found Kojo panicking in the street. Kojo revealed that Okie had returned, and was at the flat with Harry. Teddy rushed back to the flat, where Harry cradled Okie’s dead body.

Teddy ushered Harry home, where he summoned Nicola too. She quickly set about trying to cover up the crime, though Harry was determined to face the music.

Protective dad Teddy had other ideas though, and revealed his plan to take the blame for Okie’s death. With Harry washing himself up, Teddy strode off to do the noble thing – heading back to the flat, and Okie’s dead body.

Meanwhile, on his way back from battering Ravi, George found Kojo crying and traumatised in the street. Back home, Kojo revealed to George what had happened at the flat. And, as his traumatised brother broke down in his arms, George called the police.

Harry emerged from the shower just in time to see his dad being led out of Kojo’s flat in handcuffs, having copped to killing Okie.

EastEnders fans fear Teddy Mitchell is leaving as he confesses to Okie’s murder

As these shocking scenes aired on BBC iPlayer today, fans took to social media to share their thoughts. And many feared that this might be the beginning of Teddy Mitchell’s exit from the Square.

“Please tell me teddy Mitchell is staying in eastenders?! He’s actually one of my fave characters now,” wrote one fan on X.

“Didn’t see that twist coming at all! I hope Roland Manookian isn’t leaving because he’s a great actor and I love Teddy’s character,” said another.

A third commented: “Just watched today’s episode and the end??? Has he left for good do we think? I heard a rumour he was leaving a while ago and I can’t see a way out of this for him now.”

While neither EastEnders nor actor Roland Manookian have said that Teddy’s leaving the soap, things aren’t looking good.
