Is Zoe suffering a psychotic break? As Anthony shares his shock diagnosis, she faces her traumatic past tomorrow

Anthony's seriously worried about Zoe

Anthony Trueman became convinced that Zoe is suffering a psychotic break in EastEnders tonight (Wednesday, October 29), as she lashed out at those around her. Zoe was feeling paranoid after discovering a defaced picture of herself and Kat last night – having very much taken it as a threat.

Clashing with Vicki and Anthony, Zoe only grew more convinced that someone is out to get her. And, as Zoe exploded at the patrons of The Vic, Anthony shared a worrying diagnosis with Kat.

He fears that she’s going through a psychotic break – but is he right?

Zoe lashed out at Vicki and Anthony in EastEnders tonight

Halloween had fallen in Albert Square, and Kat was feeling tender after the night before. She and Zoe were still at each other’s throats, with Kat accusing her daughter of destroying the picture herself. Morning went from bad to worse when Alfie discovered that a sewer pipe had burst in the barrel store.

Tidying up with Ross, Alfie discovered an old videotape from Slater family history – 1988, to be exact.

Zoe, meanwhile, was making no shortage of enemies. With Stacey gone, Jean was feeling the pressure, and blaming Zoe. And, in the cafe, Vicki confronted her over the events of last night.

Zoe was quick to blame Vicki for destroying the picture – only for Anthony to step in and play the saviour. He offered her a place to stay at the Truemans’, which she gladly accepted – only for him to to ruin it by asking whether he was the father of her twins.

This, Zoe vehemently denied (she’d been on the pill, plus the dates don’t add up), before storming off in another sulk.

Zoe had a Halloween scare in EastEnders tonight

Back home, Alfie attempted to put on a reconciliation between Zoe, Kat and Jean. As Zoe once again denied destroying the picture, mother and daughter began to set aside their differences – with Zoe agreeing to stick around.

Jean wasn’t on board with this show of reconciliation though – and lashed out at Kat for siding with Zoe. Back to the drawing board, then.

That evening, Alfie set about hosting a scary movie night at The Vic, and had sourced a video player from Ross (via the local skip). Meanwhile, concerned about Zoe, Anthony attempted to share his worries with Kat – although she initially brushed them all off.

As Zoe joined the rest of her family downstairs, Kat took the time to apologise to Vicki and Zack – who promised there’d be no beef, on their part. One disaster averted, Kat managed to stop Alfie from playing the tape, out of fear of what feelings it’d dredge up in Zoe.

Somebody put the tape on, though, and Zoe was horrified to see footage of the Slater family – including the vile Uncle Harry – projected all over The Queen Vic. Exploding in fury at the sight of her evil father, she accused Vicki again, before chucking everyone out.

This raised more red flags for Anthony who, as Zoe stropped off (again), re-iterated his concern to Kat. “These are the signs of a psychotic break!” he warned.

Is someone out to get Zoe? Or is she suffering the early stages of a psychotic break?

Zoe and the Slaters face their past in EastEnders spoilers

As the story continues tomorrow, Zoe accuses Anthony of being responsible for playing the tape. When she kicks him out of the pub, he goes to see Kat, and reiterates his concern for her mental well-being.

Later, with Jean looking after Lily and baby Charli, Kat settles down with Tommy and Zoe to watch the video.

How will Zoe react to the footage within?

What else happened in EastEnders tonight?

As Halloween night got underway at The Vic, Suki and Eve were distracted with a visit from the adoption agency. This went smoothly enough, although Eve was alarmed to hear that they'd need a reference from her mother if she hoped to get past her criminal past.

Elsewhere, Oscar and Elaine's mission to uncover Jasmine's past continued - as she turned the tables by scoring herself a place to stay in Cindy's bed.

Here's everything else that happened on EastEnders tonight.

Suki and Eve faced an adoption hurdle

With preparations underway for the adoption, Avani and Priya agreed to help bone up on what questions might arise. Suki wasn't keen on their over-enthusiastic approach though, and stormed off in a mood.

Later, a representative from the adoption agency arrived to quiz the pair. As talk turned to Eve's criminal record, they were relieved to hear that it wouldn't necessarily count against her - but she would need a reference from someone who knew her before the charges - her mum, perhaps.

Afterwards, Suki and Eve talked over the day's events. Suki was worried about what a reference from her mother would entail.

Jasmine turned the tables on Oscar

Walford's top detective duo, Oscar and E-laine, were hard at work investigating Jasmine's past. There was no sign of anyone by the name Jasmine Fisher online, and Elaine suspected (correctly, as it seems) that she was going after Cindy.

The woman in question (Jasmine, not Cindy) walked in just as they were bemoaning her lack of an online presence. Oscar found a furious Jasmine in the playground later.

She told him that her parents had blocked her access to social media as a child, apparently forgiving him as he put on a show of Oscar at his best. Did Jasmine have an ulterior motive though? Grabbing his keys under the pretense of going for a wee, she let herself into the family home... where she promptly set about snooping around Cindy's things, presumably.

Later, Jasmine managed to source herself a place to stay at Peter and Lauren's - in Cindy's actual room, while she's away.
