As Anthony exposes Howie's crimes, scrutiny soon turns to his own secrets and lies tomorrow

Kim and Howie's engagement party came to an explosive end
Joel Harley

A vengeful Anthony Trueman laid Howie Danes’ secrets bare in EastEnders tonight (Wednesday, December 3), exposing his rival in front of the whole family. With Howie and Kim gathered for their engagement, the event was quickly derailed by the men’s feud.

Fuming at Howie after Howie told Kim about the restraining order, Anthony decided to air all of his dirty laundry.

But what does this mean for Howie and Kim?

Here’s everything that happened in EastEnders tonight – and what happens next.

Kim learned the truth about Anthony

It was all hands on deck for Kim’s engagement party, and she was keen to get her family on task. This included Jack and Denise, who had returned from their mini-break, and were delighted for the happy couple’s news.

Inside, as the guilty parties watched Kim and Zoe bond, Anthony continued to wind Howie up – making snarky comments and sarcastically buying the happy couple a crate of champagne for the party.

Kim had spotted tension between the pair though, and once Anthony and Zoe left, she instructed that they quash their beef. A comment from Howie only succeeded in making her more suspicious though, and she demanded to know what the men were hiding.

Kim was appalled to hear about the restraining order, and her first instinct was, naturally, to tell Patrick. Howie managed to convince her to keep a lid on it though – for Patrick and the party’s sake – although, Kim being Kim, she immediately ran over the surgery to confront him.

He insisted that Sophie was lying about his behaviour, to keep him from the kids. He begged Kim not to tell Patrick, and insisted he’d tell his father himself.

Anthony exposed Howie in EastEnders tonight

After warning Zoe to stay away from Howie, he was delighted to get even more dirt from Oscar. Triumphant, Anthony returned home, where the party was in full swing.

Sidling up to Howie, he revealed that he knew all about his blackmail of Oscar and Lauren, and was about to spill the beans. Still, overhearing Denzel talk about how happy he was for his dad, Anthony began to have second thoughts.

He was prepared to be ready to let bygones be bygones, but it was ultimately a speech from Patrick which pushed him over the edge. Hackles rising at Patrick describing Howie as being ‘like a son,’ Anthony exploded, exposing Howie as a ‘blackmailing, two-faced, thieving little weasel.’

Ouch.

As next week’s episodes begin, Kim drowns her sorrows. Having called off the engagement (!) she offers to sell her car for Yolande’s raffle.

Yolande accepts, although Kim soon regrets her decision when she sobers up. Meanwhile, as news of Anthony’s past spreads, he admonishes his dad for speaking to Sophie, while Kat warns him to stay away from Zoe.

What else happened in EastEnders tonight?

As an explosive confrontation took place at Howie and Kim's engagement party, Harry was determined to score again. He snuck out of the house, where he bumped into Okie's sister, Dejia.

After a brief conversation, she invited him to attend Okie's memorial, leaving Harry even more guilt-ridden than before.

Meanwhile, Lauren began plans for the Christening, while Nigel held auditions for his film. And, as Lily worried about Jean, she approached Doctor Anthony for help.

Here's everything else that happened in EastEnders tonight.

Harry met a face from Okie's past

Worried about Harry, Nicola enlisted Billy and Honey's help in looking after her son while she headed to Teddy's trial. As she headed out, Zack enquired as to Barney's well-being, only for her to give him his marching orders once more.

Meanwhile, Harry managed to give his babysitters the slip, sneaking off to score. He snuck into The Arches, grabbing a handful of petty cash.

He was almost caught by Kojo, who was hard at work on one of the cars, and glad to see his friend again. Kojo knew what he'd been up to though, and Harry agreed to put the cash back.

Full of guilt over compromising Kojo again, Harry slunk back out onto the streets. And it was there he bumped into a woman, standing outside Kojo's flat. It was Dejia, Okie's sister.

Not realising he was the man who killed her brother (assuming that Okie had been his dealer), she invited him to attend the wake. Meanwhile, Nicola returned home to find Harry gone.

He was over at Harry's Barn, on the search for cash. This he found by breaking into the safe - although he was caught in the act by Chelsea and Denzel, who reacted by locking him in the office.

Chelsea summoned Nicola, who arrived to confront her son. He broke down before his mum, revealing how broken up and tormented with guilt he was - while accusing her of feeling nothing for Shireen's murder.

Also in EastEnders tonight

Lauren set about planning baby Jimmy's Christening, and Oscar was keen to be godfather.

It was the day of auditions for Nigel's film. As Nigel gathered with Phil and Julie at the community centre, Priya, Ian, Harvey and Callum all arrived for the auditions. As Nigel's dementia symptoms took hold, he grew confused - but was touched by his neighbours' show of support.

Zoe returned to The Vic, where she collected the rest of her things, and left Mini Mo with Kat and Alfie. At the cafe, she bumped into Lauren, Penny and Oscar, who invited her to join them for coffee.

Lily spoke to Anthony out of concern for Jean. Later, she tried to broach the subject of getting help with Jean, who lashed out furiously.
