This came as Zoe, tricked into seeing her mother again, shared some vicious home truths and ugly self-admissions. With Zoe and Kat’s reunion not exactly going smoothly, Jack had attempted to hide the gun for Oscar. However, having overheard their conversation, Ravi snuck in and stole it back. Both confrontations spilled out onto the street outside, as the gun went off while Kat and Zoe continued to bicker. Here’s everything that happened in EastEnders tonight. Zoe was Shanghai’d into a family reunion (Credit: BBC) The reunion continued in EastEnders tonight As the rain poured, Kat stood and faced Zoe. Overjoyed to see her daughter for the first time in twenty years, Kat rushed to her daughter’s arms – only to be given the brush-off by a woman who wanted nothing to do with her. Realising she’d been fooled, Zoe attempted to flee, but didn’t have the money to pay for a taxi. With the rain still pouring, she reluctantly agreed to go inside The Vic with Kat, where Patrick and Yolande’s wedding party was in full swing. Upstairs, Zoe was keen to get the money she needed. Desperate to speak to her daughter, Kat tried reminiscing over old times, but Zoe wasted little opportunity in sticking the knife in, sharing her memories of all the ‘game-playing, drinking, tantrums and name-calling’ that being Kat Slater’s daughter entailed. Just then, Bert and Ernie burst into the room, keen to meet their big sister. Overwhelmed, Zoe attempted to flee again, when she was cornered by Big Mo. Mo managed to convince Zoe to stick around for a chippy dinner with the family, just like old times. Zoe lashed out at Kat (Credit: BBC) Things got ugly between Kat and Zoe Things seemed to be warming between the family when social worker Leslie arrived. Zoe rankled at Leslie’s arrival, convinced that she was right in her assertion that Kat remains a bad mother. Once Leslie had gone, Kat found Zoe tearing the bedroom apart in search of cash. As Zoe demanded to know why the social had been there, Kat was forced to admit how Tommy had been hitting her. Not even that nor the tale of Tommy and the baby swap could change Zoe’s dim opinion though, and as Zoe raged, Kat entreated her to think of the good times. It was then that the truth came out: describing herself as an ‘incestuous rape baby,’ Zoe revealed how badly she’d been struggling with her paternity. But there was something else. She’d done something terrible; something she felt Kat would never understand. She stormed out, determined never to return. Kat followed her out onto the Square, where she begged her daughter to stay. “If I stay, I’ll destroy our family,” Zoe told her mum, determined to escape all these painful reminders of their past. But what’s Zoe hiding? And, with a vicious confrontation unfolding across the Square, will either live long enough to find out? Jack agreed to help Oscar get rid of the gun (Credit: BBC) Jack stashed the gun in EastEnders tonight At the Brannings’, Jack railed at Oscar for his stupidity in taking the gun. Promising to clear the whole thing up at the station, Jack agreed to hush it up. Keen to put on a show of normality, he then pulled Oscar across the Square, to join Patrick and Yolande’s party. But, as Oscar continued to ramble on about the gun, neither were aware that Ravi was listening in. Meanwhile, as Denise headed home to retrieve one of Jack’s joke books for best man Howie, she caught Ravi sneaking out of the house, having just retrieved the gun. Howie’s guilt is getting too much (Credit: BBC) Howie got stage fright in EastEnders tonight At the party, Howie felt nervous about his wedding speech. Full of guilt about taking the gambling money, he looked on, shame-faced, as Patrick publicly forgave Oscar for the break-in. Guilt getting the better of him, he froze as he took to the stage, and rushed out of The Vic. Leave it to the Kimfluencer, then, who gave a beautiful speech dedicated to Patrick and Queen Yolande.
