Here’s everything that happened in EastEnders tonight. Jean overheard Alfie and Stacey talking about Zoe (Credit: BBC) Jean learned the truth about Zoe in EastEnders tonight It was the day of the carnival, and Kat was making big plans for a Square barbeque. With Kat in a good mood, Alfie was distracted – not by Tommy, he’d tried to call Zoe. Although she hadn’t answered, the UK dial tone suggested that she was back in town. As he informed Stacey, Jean overheard mention of Zoe. Taking a break from handing out burned burgers, Kat grew suspicious at the sight of Alfie making a series of panicked calls to Spain. Still, she was distracted by the Tommy situation, and didn’t suspect a thing in spite of Stacey’s supremely shifty expression. Jean was about to drop them both in it when Ian Beale threw the situation into chaos by quite literally throwing a bucket of water over the situation. Meanwhile, as Kat headed off to confront Tommy, Jean took Stacey and Alfie aside to have it out with them both. Joel lashed out in a public outburst (Credit: BBC) Joel raged at Amy and Lily As Alpha males Joel and Tommy swapped notes on their Beta dads, Joel leered at a table of girls in the café. He was set off by the mere arrival of Amy and Lily, who provoked his ire by insulting his ‘incel boyband curtains’ – the EastEnders line of the month. Exploding, Joel grabbed a chair and threw it across the cafe. He continued to rant and rave when Kat walked in, catching Joel mid-Incredible Sulk mode. Dragging Tommy from the cafe, she marched him home, where she informed Alfie what their son had done. Tommy reached out to Zoe (Credit: BBC) Tommy contacted Zoe as Alfie told the truth As Kat read Tommy the riot act, a guilty Alfie looked on. Blaming herself for Tommy’s dark nature – and reminding him of the time he’d hit her – she told him that he was welcome to go move out and live with Zack, if he hated her that much. Later, in the playground, a sobbing Tommy fired off a text message to Zoe. “You don’t know me… but I’m your brother,” he wrote. “And I can’t deal with mum anymore either.” Meanwhile, as Kat unwound with a glass of wine, she continued to blame herself for Tommy’s behaviour. His guilt spilling over, Alfie finally admitted the truth about his trip to Spain. How will Kat react? Anthony blamed Howie for Oscar escaping charges (Credit: BBC) Patrick and Howie came to blows as Oscar walked free Following Oscar’s arrest, a furious Lauren ordered Howie to take care of the situation. At the station, Lauren tried to reassure her brother, but he was convinced that he was going down. Back home, Anthony was annoyed to hear that Jack had sorted Oscar out with a solicitor. Not content with casting aspersions on Jack’s loyalty, Anthony questioned Howie over his curious and sudden sympathy for Oscar. Howie tried to catch up with Patrick privately, appealing to his sympathetic nature. Meanwhile, at the station, Oscar was growing increasingly frustrated when the investigating officer informed them that Patrick had rescinded his statement. Anthony was outraged to see Oscar a free man, back on the Square. He’d seen through Howie’s act, and headed home to confront him. When Howie responded by accusing Anthony of ‘doing the bare minimum’ for his father, Anthony lashed out, punching Howie. Is Anthony about to spoil everything for Howie? Harry’s caught up in another terrible situation (Credit; BBC) Harry’s got a gun in EastEnders tonight Harry was with a loved-up Gina when he received an unsettling text from Okie. His obvious distraction roused her suspicions, and she wondered whether he was really into what they had going on. Arriving at The Arches, Harry was reprimanded by Okie, who had worked out that Harry had been using. Provoked by his cruel words about Kojo, Harry finally stepped up to Okie (whose name, it turns out, is literally short for ‘Okie-Dokie’), grabbing a wrench. Unfazed, Okie drew a gun – only to be caught out flashing the firearm when Ravi arrived. Not trusting Okie with a gun, Ravi palmed the piece off on Harry, ordering to hide it. Meanwhile, in The Vic, a frustrated Gina complained about Harry’s apparent lack of interest to Anna and George. Back at the flat, Harry was forced to swiftly stash the gun when George let himself in. He came with a warning for Harry, pushing him not to mess Gina around.
