Blame Big Mo, whose offer of free drinks for the Walford residents got everyone a bit too riled up… and herself arrested as she relieved herself in the Square. Kat’s day went from bad to worse when Jean put her foot in it over Alfie’s lies. She learned that Alfie had been telling porkies about his cancer, and now thinks he’s in search of Hayley and Cherry. In a spot of divine providence, Alfie had also been reflecting about his porkies. But how will Kat react when she finds Alfie’s bombshell message? Elsewhere, Suki had a drastic solution to Avani’s pregnancy bombshell, and Mike snuck in to threaten Oscar. Here’s everything that happened on EastEnders tonight. Article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Kat’s first day got off to an eventful start (Credit: BBC) Kat had a chaotic first day in charge It was Kat’s first day as landlady of The Vic, and she was keen to kick things off with a bang. Careful what you wish for, Kat… Later, as they finished packing their things, Kat thanked Stacey again for helping with the deposit. Meanwhile, guilty Stacey’s phone chimed with several missed calls from Alfie. At The Vic, Tommy was overjoyed at his new home, and shared a warm hug with his mum as thanks and congratulations. After agreeing to let Mo move in, Kat opened the doors to an eager and excited horde of punters. Too eager, perhaps? Mo’s offer of free drinks had the crowd already riled up, hinting at an oncoming storm the new(ish) landlady was entirely unprepared for. Later, as Kat handed Stacey over another round of free drinks, talk turned to Alfie. Trust Jean to stick in her ten cents’ worth. She promptly revealed that the cancer had been a lie… and that Alfie was off looking for, uh, Hayley and Cherry. Upstairs, Stacey tried to smooth things over. Kat was furious as Stacey pressed on with the Hayley lie. After all, she’d have done anything to find her own daughter, so why couldn’t Alfie have trusted her to do right by Cherry? She returned downstairs to find the pub in a state of carnage. The glass washer was busted, and Big Mo was leading a conga line to a chorus of ABBA’s Xanadu. It was like Woodstock 99′ all over again. Kat wasn’t the only unimpressed party either. The police had received a series of complaints, and the pub was already in breach of license – among other offences. With the ladies choca-bloc, Mo had exposed herself in The Square. Like we said, Woodstock 99′ all over again. Alfie relieved his guilty conscience (Credit: BBC) Alfie revealed the truth about Zoe in EastEnders tonight With the pub a state and Mo behind bars on a drunk and disorderly charge, Kat and Stacey cleared the air. She made Stacey promise that there’d be no more secrets, unaware of the big Zoe-shaped lie still looming over their heads. As Kat headed to bed, her phone began to ring. It was Alfie, calling from his Spanish hotel room. Four beers deep, he shared the whole dirty truth with Kat’s answering machine. How will Kat react when she learns what Alfie has really been up to? Suki’s got some big ideas (Credit: BBC) Suki had a proposition for Avani in EastEnders tonight Suki tried to talk to Avani about the pregnancy again, urging her to reconsider the abortion. At the same time, Vinny was preparing to leave for his trip to Canada. Outside, the family gathered to see him off. Things were still frosty between her and Vinny as he climbed into the back of a taxi, Canada-bound. Frostiness seemed to be the order of the day, with Priya still refusing to talk to Ravi, and Suki acting cold and distant toward Eve. Later, Avani met with Barney, revealing that she was no longer sure about the abortion. Meanwhile, Suki met with the Granthi. She sought advice on Avani’s situation, explaining Avani’s turmoil. Suki revealed how she’d once driven Ash away over her abortion, and expressed her worry that history was about to repeat itself. The Granthi advised support, warning her to tread carefully lest she lose Avani as well. Afterwards, Suki bumped into Jean in the shop. She none-too-subtly pressed her on how Lily’s been doing, wondering how she’s coped with teen pregnancy. Back home, she apologised to Suki for acting distant, and the pair made amends. Avani returned home, where she found Suki wound up and ready to go. Desperate to talk her out of having the abortion, she told her that she’d raise the child as her own. Will Avani go along with Suki’s plan? Mike had Oscar cornered (Credit: BBC) Oscar had an uninvited house guest Jack caught Oscar as he was giving a one night stand his marching orders, rejecting his request that they meet again for round two. Following a pep talk from Jack, Oscar offered to babysit for Peter and Lauren while they checked out the new Indian joint on the street… unaware that he was being watched from afar, by Mike. Later, with Peter and Lauren gone, Oscar bonded with his nephews by holding an impromptu dance party. He turned around to find that Mike had snuck in, and he was set on getting his revenge. Brandishing a knife, Mike had Oscar cornered when Lauren and Peter arrived home. By the time Oscar had made his excuses, Mike had scarpered, but not before leaving behind a terrible threat… a kitchen knife, buried in the chopping board. How much danger is Oscar in? Also on EastEnders tonight As she watched Kat move her things into The Vic, Vicki bemoaned losing the job in the cafe that she’d been promised, should Ian win the bidding.
