Against all odds, they were successful in convincing Eve to consider their plan, making peace at the end of a hard-fought battle. But will Eve really be able to go through with it? Elsewhere, Patrick and Howie made a plan of their own after Yolande set an ultimatum. Humiliated by both Nicola and Kim, Howie offered a solution to Patrick’s gambling dilemma by offering to bet on his behalf. Are the boys playing with fire? Meanwhile, George and Nicola’s liaison became the talk of the town when they were caught out by Harry. Eve couldn’t believe what she was hearing (Credit: BBC) Eve’s on board As the fallout from Avani’s baby bombshell settled, Eve was in a state of shock. “So you decided to adopt your dead husband’s grandkid’s baby?” she raged at Suki, feeling as though her wife had been manipulating her and the situation all day. Suki only poured fuel on the fire by manipulating her and the situation more. And, waving off Eve’s concerns, she threatened to go ahead with the pregnancy with or without her. Over at The Vic, Eve’s cryptic comments and bad mood had Ravi wondering what had gone on. As she vented to Stacey, back home, Suki was having second thoughts. It was Avani’s turn to do the convincing, and she informed her gran that her and Eve adopting the baby was very much the right thing to do. Having got Suki back on track, Avani caught up with Eve just as she was about to share the unhappy news with Ravi and Priya. In the toilets, she begged Eve to keep quiet, confirming that the baby is Joel’s, along with her fear that her dad would beat Joel into a paste as punishment. After assuring Eve that Suki hadn’t manipulated her or the situation, Avani managed to broker a meeting between the warring wives. As they sat in open and honest conversation, Avani assured them both that she really did want to carry their baby for them. Brow-beaten after a day’s arguing and manipulation, Eve finally agreed to consider the plan. But will she really be able to go through with it? Yolande was furious to learn that Patrick had gone behind her back (Credit: BBC) Patrick and Howie struggled with their finances Howie was blindsided to learn from Jack that the kids were planning on attending a pricey music festival to celebrate their exams. He confronted Denzel, who shrugged him off. He knew his dad would only complain about the money, so had asked Kim instead. At Harry’s Barn, Howie sat down for a job interview with Nicola… unaware that a naked George was hiding under the desk. Howie’s humiliation was only compounded as she laughed him out of the room to continue canoodling with George. Poor Howie. Humiliated, Howie returned home to overhear Kim bemoaning her budget life with Howie. Back at Harry’s Barn, Patrick celebrated another win. Yolande wasn’t so easily fooled though, and had been monitoring their joint account. She caught up with him by the bar, and warned him that the wedding’s off if he dares to gamble again. Back home, Howie suggested a workaround to Patrick’s dilemma – he’d place the bets on Patrick’s behalf. Junior took great delight in his dad’s discomfort (Credit: BBC) Nicola aired George’s dirty laundry in EastEnders tonight After sending Howie packing, George and Nicola resumed heavy petting – only to be interrupted by an appalled Harry. As she ran off to smooth over the situation, George left, bumping into Junior outside. Junior quickly cottoned on to what had just happened, and brought his dad a beer to celebrate. As they shared a drink with Patrick, Junior continued to enjoy the situation – making cracks even as a confused Anna arrived. Nicola and Junior continued to quite literally air George’s dirty laundry when she arrived at the table with a delivery – George’s undies. In the office, he questioned why she’d decided to humiliate him in front of his daughter. She responded by offering him a job as head of security, which he accepted.
