Getting the wrong end of the stick, Avani dropped a premature baby bombshell, leaving Eve reeling. Can Suki convince her to come aboard with the plan? Elsewhere, growing concerned about Patrick’s gambling, Yolande begged him to stop. Meanwhile, Nicola distracted George for Harry – by hooking up with him in Harry’s Barn. And, as the Slaters celebrated Martin’s 40th birthday, Oscar found himself a new job. Here’s everything that happened on EastEnders tonight. Article continues below Read all the latest spoilers This wasn’t how she was supposed to find out (Credit: BBC) Eve learned what Suki had planned in EastEnders tonight With Avani now on board, Suki set about buttering up Eve. After a cosy morning in bed, she deliberately steered the subject toward talk of babies, letting Eve know that she was feeling broody. Spooked, Eve promised to think about it before promptly departing. At Stacey’s Baps, Eve unloaded on her, telling her that she’d never wanted kids. After being given food for thought by Stacey, she was in a more receptive mood. But this wasn’t to last, and after a clumsy attempt at manipulation from Suki she snapped, asserting that she didn’t want children. Back home, Eve apologised for her outburst, but remained firm that kids weren’t on her radar. Never count out Suki’s ability to get what she wants though, and she soon had Eve second-guessing herself. The pair were just sealing the deal with a kiss when Avani arrived home. Getting the wrong idea, she dropped the bombshell of all bombshells; the real sticking point of the plan; the really insane thing about it all. “So you up for it then? Are you up for having my baby?” Patrick’s gambling is worrying Yolande (Credit: BBC) Yolande issued Patrick a warning Yolande was preparing for the wedding, and Patrick was determined to buy her the wedding of her dreams. Having had his shifts cut recently, Howie was in need of extra funds, and took on board Kathy’s suggestion that he apply for the bouncer’s job at Harry’s Barn. Having overheard Patrick’s plans to pay for the wedding, Kathy sat down for a chat and shared her concerns about his gambling. After all, she should know, given everything that had happened with Rocky. She collared Patrick in The Vic, telling him that she didn’t want him gambling to pay for the wedding. The language was very clear, but Patrick wouldn’t be so easily dissuaded. Nicola distracted George for Harry… and how (Credit: BBC) Nicola and George hooked up in EastEnders tonight Nicola was keen to build bridges with Harry, offering him a bouncer’s job at Harry’s Barn. He was having none of it though, and was perturbed to see Okie and Kojo bonding at the garage. Okie informed him that he needed the flat to bag up some product; leaving Harry with a big George-shaped lump on the sofa to shift. Heading home, he plied George with lies about a phony bar manager’s job – sending him off on his merry way to a non-existent job interview. At Harry’s Barn, George was miffed to find that the position was for bouncer instead. Tasked with keeping him occupied, Nicola got to flirting. And, as the drinks flowed, she stepped up the distraction, mounting him then and there in the office. From the flat, Harry sent a text to inform Nicola that the coast was clear, but things were very much in motion. The families threw a party for Martin (Credit: BBC) Happy birthday Martin At The Vic, the families gathered to remember Martin on his 40th birthday. Kat marked the occasion with a memory jar and a birthday cake, while a toast was raised to the dearly departed greengrocer. Ian chipped in to help with Oscar’s money problem (Credit: BBC) Oscar got a new job in EastEnders tonight In the chippy, Oscar desperately tried to think up a way of making the money he needed to pay off Mike.
