What happened in EastEnders tonight: Eve walked out on Suki as she faced the consequences of her pregnancy plan

Over for good?
Joel Harley

A done-with-it-all Eve Unwin walked out on wife Suki Panesar in EastEnders tonight (Wednesday, August 13) as the family reacted to her utterly insane baby plan. Already on the receiving end of backlash from Ravi and Priya, Suki’s carefully ordered plan was left in tatters when Eve called time on their marriage.

Is there any way back from this for Eve and Suki?

Elsewhere, Okie got what he wanted after ‘rescuing’ Kojo and Elaine from his own group of thugs. And, as Joel learned about the abortion, he shared his frustration with Tommy.

Here’s everything that happened in EastEnders tonight.

The family turned on Suki in EastEnders tonight

Suki faced the wrath of Priya and Ravi. She was completely unrepentant in the face of the family’s wrath, justifying herself even as Vinny and Nugget arrived home.

The family were at each other’s throats as the row blazed on, with Ravi accusing Suki of being worse than Nish, while Suki raged at Eve for taking Avani for the abortion behind her back.

Learning what Suki had said about ‘waiting’ until it was too late to have an abortion before they tell anyone, Priya snapped, and slapped Suki. Ravi, meanwhile, obviously hadn’t gotten the memo about not telling Joel, and stormed out to confront him.

Meanwhile, Suki and Eve finally grabbed a moment together. Suki refused to admit that she’d have tried to stop the termination, digging her heels into the ground in the face of Eve’s obvious pain and frustration.

Back home, Avani was panicking after experiencing heavy bleeding. With no-one else around, Suki agreed to take her to the hospital. Meanwhile, stressed-out Ravi’s day went from bad to worse when he received another visit from his financial advisor. He’d run out of time to pay his tax bill, and had been issued a winding-up petition.

But never mind that, spotting Joel out with Ross and Vicki, Ravi stormed over to chew the teen out for not using protection. As Joel denied not using a condom, Ross once again leapt to his son’s defence, offering the insinuation that she’d been sleeping around.

Eve ended things with Suki

At the hospital, Suki began to realise how badly she’d done by Avani. After Doctors shared the good news that she was doing fine following the abortion, Suki tried to make things right with Priya and Ravi, but continued to get the cold shoulder from both.

She returned home to find Eve packing her bags. And she wasn’t the only one – Vinny and Nugget were out too. Suki begged Eve to stay, but the blinkers had come off. Realising that nothing about the last few weeks had been normal, she was done.

Okie got his way in EastEnders tonight

Elaine and Kojo were at the gang’s mercy at The Arches when Okie arrived to save the day. He’d set the whole thing up, of course, to make himself look like the good guy, but Kojo and Elaine fell for the act hook, line, and sinker.

Afterwards, Elaine and Kojo rushed over to The Vic to tell Harry what had happened. Kojo took the opportunity to introduce his family to his newest friend, cuddly Okie from Ghana. Back at the flat, Okie continued to manipulate Kojo by scoring a spare key for himself and his mates.

Harry tried to warn Okie off, but Okie responded with a thinly veiled threat against Kojo. Can Harry protect Kojo?

Harry and Gina took things to the next level

Cindy interrupted Harry and Gina’s date with a snide comment about George and Nicola. This wasn’t enough to kill the mood though, and he admitted that he was ready to move on from Shireen – as they sealed the deal with a kiss.

Things are looking good for Harry and Gina, but will his reluctant manipulation of Kojo doom things before they’ve even begun?

George slowed things down in EastEnders tonight

In Harry’s Barn, Nicola couldn’t keep her hands off George. But he was having second thoughts about the relationship since Elaine, Cindy and the kids found out.

He told her that he didn’t like how she’d handled the Cindy situation, and wasn’t ready for anything serious right now.

Oscar felt guilty

In the cafe, Oscar listened in as Ian and Kathy discussed Patrick’s return from the hospital. He took over a box of iced buns to Yolande at the launderette, where he tried to subtly find out how Patrick’s been doing.

Walking in on this scene, Lauren was troubled to see her brother cosying up to Yolande. She quickly ushered him away, but he wasn’t to be dissuaded.

Returning to the launderette, he continued to ingratiate himself with Yolande, who described him as a ‘good soul.’ How would she react if she knew what Oscar had really done?

Stacey was disappointed in EastEnders tonight

Stacey was annoyed to hear that the police were taking no further action against Joel. As she shared her frustration with Jean, Tommy (who was grabbing a bap) leapt to his pal’s defence again.

Later, at the cafe, Joel told Tommy about the abortion. Fuming about not having been consulted, he spouted off another Drake Zagan line.
