BBC/Composite: EastEnders Insider Share By Joel Harley Aug 20 2025 By Joel Harley Aug 20 2025 What happened in EastEnders tonight: George in danger after confronting Harry over Kojo's drugs nightmare George is putting the operation at risk George Knight Harry Mitchell Share By Joel Harley Aug 20 2025 By Joel Harley Aug 20 2025 An angry George Knight was on the warpath in EastEnders tonight (Wednesday, August 20) as he confronted Harry Mitchell over Kojo’s birthday party favour. As Koko recovered from the drugs Okie had given him, George set out to find the man responsible. Pressured by Jack to get him a name to ensure Kojo’s freedom, George was a man on a mission. Unfortunately, this mission put him in conflict with Nicola, Kojo, Gina, Elaine, Harry and pretty much everyone else in the vicinity – including Okie, who wanted him silenced before he could stir up more trouble. How much danger is George in? Elsewhere, Phil and Julie reached an impasse in Nigel’s care, and Howie warned Oscar to stay away from Patrick. Here’s everything that happened in EastEnders tonight. The discussion was set to continue when George barged in with drugged-up Kojo. After defusing that particular situation, Phil and Julie took themselves off to the cafe, where he filled her in on what had happened when Nigel first arrived in Walford last year. After explaining how Nigel had come to live with him in the first place, Phil opened up (as much as Phil Mitchell opens up to anyone) about his own mental health. On the same page at last, the pair began to work out a proper schedule for Nigel. While she wanted to set him up with Pilates classes and healthy eating, Phil was concerned that Nigel’s life could only decline from here. And just like that, they were at each other’s throats again. Will they ever see eye to eye? By-the-book Jack told George he’d have to arrest Kojo (Credit: BBC) Jack threatened to arrest Kojo in EastEnders tonight After arriving on the scene with Nicola at Phil’s house, Jack determined that the pill Kojo had taken was MDMA. Jack dropped the news that, as Kojo had been found in possession of a Class-A drug, he’d have to arrest him – but only once he’d recovered. George begged Jack not to report Kojo to his pals down the station, appealing to the copper’s good nature as a neighbour or a friend. Jack was concerned that Nicola would be party to any cover up, but George countered with his own worry that Kojo might be deported. He promised to find whoever was responsible for the drugs, in exchange for Jack’s silence. Back at the flat, Harry had returned home to find the place a mess. He was horrified to hear that Okie had given him drugs. After butting heads with Okie, Harry told him that he wanted out, and would be quitting the drugs game once the next batch had been dealt with. Meanwhile, George shared his suspicion with Nicola that Harry might have been behind the drugs. She didn’t take kindly to the accusation, and stormed off in a huff just as Kojo awakened from his slumber. Okie wants Harry to silence George (Credit: BBC) George in danger after confronting Harry George tried to press Kojo on where he’d gotten the MDMA from, but his brother was tight-lipped. George’s insistence that Harry had been responsible only succeeded in driving Kojo further into his shell. Leaving Kojo with Phil, George set off to confront Harry. He found the man in question at Harry’s bar, where he, Nicola and Elaine gathered for a messy confrontation. Convinced that Harry had been responsible, George grabbed Harry just as the rest of the family arrived on the scene. As things got even messier, Nicola hit back at George, bringing up Gina’s own history with drugs as ammunition. Returning to Phil’s, George confirmed to Phil that he’d found his man. Calling Jack over, they shared their suspicion that Harry had been responsible. Jack was still set on arresting Kojo, but they managed to talk him down… for now. Meanwhile, back at the flat, Harry told Okie how George was onto him. Fearing that George was about to expose their operation, Okie issued Harry a warning… defuse the George situation, or make the big man disappear. Can Harry throw George off the scent? Howie tried to get Oscar to leave Patrick alone (Credit: BBC) Howie warned Oscar off in EastEnders tonight At the launderette, Jack was giving Oscar some tips on his laundry when Nicola called. Left alone with Yolande, Oscar subtly pushed her for information on how he’s doing. She asked Oscar to pay her husband-to-be a visit, to cheer the old man up. Back home, the pair played a game of dominoes while Yolande took the opportunity to put her feet up. Howie was disturbed to see Oscar in the house and subtly tried to dissuade Patrick from inviting him to the stag do. Oscar wouldn’t be put off though, and gladly accepted. At The Albert, Jack and Howie sat down to discuss plans for Patrick’s stag do. Having learned that Oscar was home alone with the kids, Howie snuck over to confront the lad. He was convinced that Oscar’s friendship with Patrick was a play for leverage, and tried to warn him off. What neither man knew was that Jack was listening in, having overheard Howie’s menacing warning from across the park. Read more: Who’s leaving, joining and returning to EastEnders?
