What happened in EastEnders tonight: Louie and Jimmy disappeared as Peter and Lauren feud continued

Where are Jimmy and Louie?

Warring off-again, on-again couple Peter Beale and Lauren Branning continued to be at each other’s throats in EastEnders tonight (Wednesday, July 10). This came as he continued to sulk about her kissing  Zack, violently lashing out at his perceived love rival.

More interested in taking pot-shots at each other than their children, Lauren and Peter were distracted when the boys disappeared from under their very noses. But where have little Jimmy and Louie gone?

Elsewhere, Harry tried to make amends after ‘losing’ Ravi’s drugs. And, as Anna returned, Linda worried that Elaine is exerting herself too much.

Here’s everything that happened on EastEnders tonight.

Lauren and Peter’s war escalated in EastEnders tonight

It was Peter’s first day on the fruit and veg stall. Proud Kathy marked the occasion by bringing him breakfast and a coffee, just as she always had for his grandfather, Pete.

His good mood wasn’t to last though – and Peter was still brooding over Lauren admitting to having kissed Zack. In a strop, he gave her the brush-off even as they prepared for their appointment with Jimmy’s geneticist later that day.

With Peter still sulking, Lauren sat down with Penny, who gave her a pep-talk over Jimmy’s still-hopeful future. A nice moment, interrupted by a typically acerbic Cindy, who described Lauren as ‘the patron saint of smackheads,’ before storming off on her chaotic way.

At the hospital, Peter and Lauren met with Doctor Ayub, who informed them that Jimmy’s blindness was caused by a genetic mutation. So nothing to do with Lauren’s painkiller use, then.

You’d expect this to be good news, but they continued to bicker. With Peter not exactly apologetic for his recent poor treatment of Lauren, he continued to hold her kiss with Zack over her head.

Jimmy and Louie disappeared as Peter and Lauren continued to argue

Returning to Walford, Peter downed his sorrows in The Vic while Penny consoled Lauren again. While Lauren seemed to have decided that Pete was indeed ‘the one,’ he was still stropping about Zack.

Stropping off outside, he found and confronted Zack. Zack, to his credit, took Peter’s accusations (and flimsy punch) like a champ… tossing him aside into a heap of bin bags as he went on his way.

“Was that really necessary?” Ian asked Zack as he and Linda helped pick up the pieces. All things considered, we’d say he got off rather lightly.

Back home, Lauren was furious at Peter’s behaviour. And, as they continued screaming at each other, Louie comforted his baby brother. “Parents argue,” he told Jimmy. “It’s just what they do.”

With tensions still at an all-time high, Lauren went to find the boys… only to discover that they were missing. Where have Louie and Jimmy gone? And will they be alright?

Harry tried to make amends with Ravi

Harry and Nicola were shocked as Kojo admitted to flushing Ravi’s drugs down the toilet. While Nicola would have been happy to throw Kojo under the bus, Harry was determined to protect his pal, and set about trashing The Arches.

Meanwhile, Ravi rejected Suki’s idea that they scale back Avani’s party to save on money. Turning up at The Arches, he and Okie were furious to discover that the drugs were gone, while Harry claimed that the place had been robbed.

In an attempt to make it up to Ravi, Harry offered up Harry’s Barn as a venue for Avani’s party, free of charge. Ravi gladly accepted, but it’s clear that Harry’s far from forgiven. Just how much trouble are he and Kojo in?

Anna returned in EastEnders tonight

With Elaine refusing to take it easy after her heart attack, Linda fretted that her mum was still doing too much. Meanwhile, Anna returned, and wasn’t happy at everything which had gone on in her absence.

Never mind that he was the wronged party (for once), George took the brunt of Anna’s ire, as she blamed him for not telling her about the divorce or The Vic sale.

Elaine, meanwhile, wasn’t letting a ‘dodgy ticker’ distract her from having a good time – downing shots of gin in The Vic with Big Mo. Can Anna and Linda convince her to reign it in?
