What happened in EastEnders tonight: Ravi threatened Harry into working for him, and Lauren and Peter decided their future

Ravi made his move

Ravi Gulati turned violent in EastEnders tonight (Friday, July 11), as he finally made his move against Harry Mitchell. Earlier this week, Harry was responsible for losing a shipment of Ravi’s drugs – staging a break-in after learning that Kojo had flushed them all down the loo.

Lulling Harry into a false sense of security, Ravi finally twisted the knife – and forcibly enlisted the Mitchell mechanic as his reluctant employee.

Elsewhere, Lauren and Peter put on a united front after finding Louie and Jimmy. Elsewhere, George tried to convince Elaine to take it easy, and the drunken women of The Vic settled upon a plan.

Here’s everything that happened in EastEnders tonight.

Ravi put a muzzle on it

At Harry’s Barn, Phil was kicking off about the ‘break-in’ at The Arches. The arrival of Ravi and the Pansears didn’t distract him from unloading on Harry either, demanding that he replace the losses, lest it be docked from his wages. Harry was surprised when Ravi leapt to his defence, given the very expensive drugs he’d just managed to ‘lose.’

Opening up to Harry, Ravi revealed that he knew what it was like to be on the receiving end of a thuggish father figure, and extended an invite to join Avani’s sweet sixteenth. With Vinny and Nugget on the DJ decks, it was hardly the classy event Avani claimed to have wanted… but the birthday girl seemed happy enough.

One person not having a good time was Harry, who snapped at Kojo when he arrived looking to help. Noticing Harry’s sourpuss expression, Ravi offered him a little something from his own ‘personal supply’ to take the edge off.

With the party underway, Harry and Ravi shared a heart-to-heart, in which Harry opened up about his dead pregnant ex, Shireen. In exchange, the Brummie confided in him over his own dad; slimy Ranveer. Ravi’s show of chumminess was all a facade though, and his true colours showed with the arrival of Okie.

Ushering Okie and Harry outside, Ravi showed that he wasn’t to be messed with. Dealing Okie a savage beating, Ravi turned on Harry, informing him that he was now one of his dealers. How much trouble is Harry in?

Lauren and Peter focused on the future

Discovering Jimmy and Louie had gone from the house, Lauren and Peter took to the streets of Walford in search of their children. While running about screaming for the boys, they ran into Ian, Callum and Jay, who helped launch a search party.

Thankfully, it wasn’t long before the boys were found. And it was Jay who found them, squirrelled in the park. An upset Louie explained to Jay that he only wanted to protect his baby brother, out of fear that all the shouting might upset his hearing.

Jay managed to convince Louie to return home, where the boys reunited with their relieved parents. Before sending the family on their way, he quietly told Peter what Louie had said – and subtly hinted that they might want to sort themselves out for the kids’ sake.

Back home, the pair put on a united front as they spoke to Louie, reassuring him of the family’s love for each other. Cindy and Ian clearly hadn’t got the memo though, and turned up to blame Lauren some more for what had happened.

After sending them packing, Peter headed out to clear his head. When he returned, he was full of resolve for the future. Ready to make a go of things, the pair reiterated their love. And just like that, the marriage is back on.

George stands at the bar on EastEnders

George tried to speak to Elaine

Raising a toast to the Lionesses, Elaine sparked more worry that she’s exerting herself too much after her heart attack. George tried to show his concern, but she was having none of it, and sashayed away in typically glamorous fashion.

Will Elaine listen to reason?

A toast to the lionesses!

The sun was shining outside, and Come on Eileen was blasting over the radio. Full of good cheer, Denise, Honey and Kathy shared a bottle of wine (and some of Elaine’s strongest dutch gin).

And, as the booze flowed, Denise heaped praise upon Honey, describing her as a ‘good person’ (never mind the fact she was fine about covering up Zack’s death a few weeks ago). We also learned that Denise is planning on moving back in with Jack, finally putting the people’s vote into action.

Talk then turned to the sale of The Queen Vic, and who among the women might fancy running the joint. Having seemingly gotten over that time Denise and Kathy helped kill a guy there, it was only a matter of time before they considered joining forces to buy the pub for themselves.

As Kathy grew increasingly lairy, she and Denise decided to gazump inexperienced Honey, booting her from the sisterhood. Will Denise and Kathy’s partnership still stand once the hangover has settled?
