The search for Zoe Slater’s boy has become one of the soap’s biggest storylines since her return, even bringing on board a Private Investigator to reunite mother and daughter. For now, more questions have been raised than answered. Who was the father of Zoe’s twins? Is her daughter really dead? And what was Anthony doing lurking in The Queen Vic toilets after the pub had been closed? And, while some theorised that Anthony was the one tormenting Zoe, another suggests that he might have already found – and be looking after – Zoe’s son. “What if Anthony is the dad but he already has the kid and is making Zoe seem crazy to stop her searching for her son,” wrote one fan on Reddit. And maybe he is messing with Zoe now. It would explain why he’s still around.” A third asked: “Could it be that Anthony and his wife adopted the boy? It would be a stretch but Eastenders do like interconnected stories.” This theory, of course, assumes that Zoe was lying when she told Anthony he’s not the father. In the wake of her barrel store ‘attack,’ Zoe and the Slaters are horrified when more pictures turn up broken and defaced. Kat’s desperate to support her daughter, and attempts to sell her share of the limo business to Harvey to pitch in. But, suspicious over recent events, Alfie quizzes Zoe over what’s been going on. She admits that she defaced the pictures herself. Meanwhile, Anthony attracts the suspicions of Kim and Patrick when they spot him making a series of shady phone calls. He reveals that he’s gotten a job at the local surgery, and will be sticking around for good.
