Paramedics had rushed Patrick to hospital after Howie discovered him unconscious at home in the wake of a robbery. This had been a desperate Oscar Branning, who had stolen their gambling money in an attempt to pay off old pal Fat Mike. Doctors confirmed that Patrick would be fine in tonight’s episode, in a huge sigh of relief for all involved. But does Patrick’s recovery really end there? He may be suffering no major injuries, but what toll will this take on Patrick’s mental state? And how does it tie into son Anthony’s imminent return? Anthony will return for his father’s wedding to Yolande (Credit: BBC) Anthony to return as Patrick’s turmoil continues Patrick and Yolande’s wedding coincides with the recently-announced return of Anthony to Walford. Anthony arrives back on Albert Square for the wedding, where he will be reunited with his father after eleven years’ absence. What is intended to be a brief visit home ends up lasting longer when Anthony realises that there’s something amiss with his father. Of the situation, Executive Producer Ben Wadey said: “It’s great to welcome Nicholas [Bailey, who plays Anthony] back to the EastEnders family to reunite Patrick with his son.” He continued: “But Anthony’s plan for a brief return to surprise his father ends up with him staying longer than he expected when he uncovers what has been going on in the Trueman household.” How will Anthony react when he learns what has been going on in his absence?
