As Teddy's final scenes air, early iPlayer release reveals whether Harry survived his overdose

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for today’s episode of EastEnders, which is streaming now on BBC iPlayer, but has not yet aired on BBC One – in which the fate of Teddy and Harry Mitchell is revealed following the latter’s overdose.

Harry suffered another overdose in EastEnders last night, succumbing to drugs in the wake of his dad’s trial. Learning that Teddy is facing life behind bars, Harry was distraught, and almost immediately turned back to drugs.

Gina found him there in The Arches, barely conscious and struggling to breathe. Will Harry survive his latest overdose? And what happens to Teddy next?

Harry rushed to hospital after his overdose in EastEnders today

As today’s episode begins (Thursday, December 12), Gina raises the alarm. While Jack tries to resuscitate Harry, George fetches Nicola, who rushes to the scene with a syringe the doctors gave her after Harry’s last overdose.

Paramedics then rush Harry to hospital, where doctors fight to save his life. Gina and Nicola are relieved to hear that he’ll be fine. And, as Harry recovers, Nicola undergoes a scan to check that her all is well with her pregnancy.

In the aftermath of everything that’s happened, George offers his support, telling Nicola that he’ll stand by her and the baby come what may.

Goodbye Teddy Mitchell, we hardly knew ye

In the aftermath of his disastrous trial, Teddy’s lawyer informs him that the authorities are transferring him to a prison in Durham. Durham!

He summons Billy, who informs him of Harry’s overdose. Before the police cart him off to Durham (Durham!), Teddy tells Billy that he needs to warn George about Nicola.

“She’ll ruin him,” Teddy tells Billy. “You only know her when it’s too late. Don’t let her ruin anyone else’s life. Let this end with me.”
