The episode in question aired on June 10, and showed Kat Slater attempt to seduce husband Alfie Moon after discovering a pornographic video on his laptop. A bewildered Alfie rebuffed her advances, having grown self-conscious about his struggle with erectile dysfunction. Unbeknownst to them both, it had been their son, Tommy, who had watched the dirty video, after stealing his dad’s credit card. Viewers have praised the episode for raising awareness for issues faced by those in recovery from prostate cancer, like Alfie himself. The BBC dismissed the complaint, ruling that the content within was not inappropriate. Both on the same page, they went ahead and married for the third time. This hasn’t stopped Alfie from lying about just about everything else though; most notably his own whereabouts when he decided to set off in search of Kat’s daughter, Zoe.
