Today’s episode of EastEnders (airing Monday, September 1) sees the long-awaited reunion of Kat and Zoe after 20 years apart. Having been tracked down by brother Tommy, she let him talk her into returning back to Walford, where she finally came face-to-face with her mum again. As the episode began, Tommy had spent the night at Zoe’s, attempting to get to know his sister. She revealed that she planned on fleeing to Spain, which he offered to finance, if she’d only take him with her. And, as part of their plan, they returned to Albert Square, where the mother of all reunions awaited… It’s the reunion we’ve all been waiting for (Credit: BBC) Zoe and Kat reunite in early iPlayer release As a terrified Kat worried about Tommy’s whereabouts, he sent a message letting her know he was outside. Kat rushed out onto the Square, just as he climbed out of a taxi. Article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Relief turned to shock as Tommy told Kat that he’d brought her a present. And, from the other side of the taxi, out stepped none other than Zoe Slater, into the torrential rain. A lightning bolt flashed across the sky as their eyes met. “Zoe!” gasped Kat as she came face-to-face with her daughter once again. Bombshell dropped, the end credits rolled. Viewers will have to wait until tomorrow to see what happens next. But what else does Zoe’s return have in store? Wednesday’s episode will be a big one (Credit: BBC) EastEnders to reveal Zoe’s secrets in special episode As Kat and Zoe’s reunion continues this week, the BBC will release a special episode in which her secrets are revealed. To heighten the anticipation, the soap won’t drop as normal on BBC iPlayer this Wednesday (September 3), eschewing its usual 6am time in favour of a 7.30pm simulcast with its BBC One counterpart. But what secrets will come out?
