EastEnders star Colin Salmon has teased that the soap has a ‘really disturbing’ storyline planned for George Knight and his family. After first arriving in Walford in 2023, George and his daughters have been at the heart of some of its biggest storylines already – including the revelation that he was adopted in a ‘baby farming’ incident as a child.

More recently, George split from wife Elaine after discovering that she’d cheated on him with a one-night stand. Appalled, he called time on their relationship, and moved out of The Vic.

Since then, he’s been staying with brother Kojo at his flat, and struck up a tentative romance with Nicola Mitchell. Brother Kojo, meanwhile, has been caught in the middle of Ravi Gulati’s drug operation, with his flat now serving as dealer Okie’s base of operations.

But what’s next for George and his family? According to star Colin Salmon, life isn’t about to get any easier for the Knights…

Colin Salmon hints at ‘really disturbing’ storyline for George and the Knights

In an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Colin said: “We’ve got another storyline you haven’t seen before.”

He continued: “I did the farming storyline, we have another storyline that is perfect for this time, it’s real, it’s really disturbing and it’s coming. I can’t tell you what it is.”

However, he did tease that the groundwork has already begun. “It’s already seeding in,” he told host Rob Rinder.

But what does the soap have in store for George and his family? And how might this relate to brother Kojo and his friendship with Harry and Okie?

Molly Rainford set to leave EastEnders

News of the Knights’ big storyline comes ahead of star Molly Rainford’s upcoming exit from the soap. The actress, who plays Anna Knight, is set to leave EastEnders later this year, it was previously reported.

In June, a source told The Sun: “New boss Ben Wadey is making sweeping changes on the show and his decision coincided with Mollie deciding she wanted to pursue other challenges.

“She’s hugely talented and wants to spread her wings and see what else is out there for her.”

A spokesperson for the BBC confirmed Molly’s exit, saying: “We can confirm that Molly Rainford will be leaving EastEnders later this year, and we wish her all the best for the future.”

Will Molly’s EastEnders exit play into this so-called ‘disturbing’ storyline which looms?
