This came as Stacey and the Slaters devised a scheme to annoy Ian, claiming that they also planned on bidding for The Vic. Ian was hoping to rebuild the Beale empire, after learning that Linda was putting the pub up for auction. As he examined his future purchase, he informed the Slaters of his plans, and sniped back when they scoffed at the idea. Later, in The Vic, a shocked Ian looked on as Stacey revealed she’d won £100k on a scratch card. And, as Vinny arrived to corroborate the story, Ian stewed with jealousy. He was then left even more annoyed as they revealed that they also planned on bidding on The Vic. However, many viewers were left befuddled by this exchange. Did Stacey really hit the jackpot? And many were divided as to whether she’d actually won the money or not. Was just to fool Ian and scaring him off from buying it,” pointed out another, over on Reddit. “That’s ridiculous, you wouldn’t just take their word for it, you’d check like he is doing here……….” pointing out how Ian takes a look at the scratch card to confirm it’s legitimacy. A fourth countered: “They didn’t miraculously win £100k. It was to trick Ian into thinking they were going to buy the pub with it. And Vinny was in on it.” So did she win or not?
