WARNING: This article contains spoilers for today’s episode of EastEnders, which is streaming now on BBC iPlayer, but has not yet aired on BBC One – in which Teddy drops another explosive bombshell on the Mitchells.

The Mitchell family are hit with another terrible bombshell in EastEnders today (Thursday, November 13) as Teddy shares some shocking news with Nicola. This comes after his arrest on Tuesday, as he confessed to killing Okie.

Teddy claimed self-defence, but the police were having none of it – and Teddy learned that they were charging him with murder yesterday. As last night’s episode ended, Nicola broke down in tears, realising the severity of the situation she and her family face.

But what’s to become of Teddy Mitchell? And can vulnerable Harry overcome the temptation of his drug addiction?

Teddy delivers some devastating news in early EastEnders iPlayer release

As tonight’s episode begins, stressed-out Nicola is trying to stay strong for her boys. When they realise that Teddy’s been charged with murder, Harry tries to hand himself in – but Nicola successfully manages to talk him down.

However, Harry is left shaken when Kojo starts banging on the door, having found out that George plans to send him back to Ghana. Unable to answer the door, he instead texts a drug dealer, arranging to meet.

Meanwhile, Nicola goes to see Teddy at the prison. In the visiting room, he reveals the reality of his  situation. The police are beginning to ask some difficult questions, he says, so he’s going to plead guilty to the murder charges.

Nicola is horrified when she realises that this means Teddy now faces fifteen years in prison. However, there’s even worse waiting for her at home…

Harry suffers an overdose

Returning to Albert Square, Nicola sends Barney off to get a take-away while she figures out how to break the news. She goes indoors, where she finds Harry passed out on the sofa – having suffered a drug overdose.

Rushing to her son’s side, she calls an ambulance. Can they get to Harry in time?
