Chrissie Watts makes her explosive return to Albert Square in EastEnders today, bringing with her plenty of drama as usual. But while she reunites with Jake Moon, Kat wants answers, and she isn’t going to like what she hears. Chrissie meets Jake in the park as Kat watches on (Credit: BBC) EastEnders: Chrissie’s return As Alfie heads off to see his little brother, Spencer, in Australia, Jake and Kat get ready to see if Chrissie walks into their trap. They head to the park to meet her, and while Kat hides in the background, Jake sits and nervously waits. Chrissie turns up, and although things are frosty between her and Jake, they soon thaw and get talking about where their relationship went wrong. What Chrissie doesn’t realise, though, is that Jake is recording everything she says on his phone. Jake hopes he might get a murder confession out of Chrissie, but he quickly realises he is barking up the wrong tree. Jake realises she has a point, but as he softens towards her, Kat comes out of hiding and lashes out at Chrissie. Chrissie and Jake have a heart-to-heart in the car (Credit: BBC) Kat and Chrissie’s showdown Shocked that Jake set a trap for her, Chrissie is annoyed. Soon, a huge argument starts between Chrissie and Kat, and as Chrissie protests her innocence, Kat calls the police. However, Jake quickly changes alliances and tells Chrissie he believes she is innocent. He grabs Kat’s phone, throws it into a pond, and tells Chrissie to run away with him. However, as Chrissie picks up Jake’s phone that he left behind on the bench, she realises he has been recording her. As Chrissie and Jake try to escape in the car, Kat stands in front of it and refuses to move. Chrissie tricks her into moving by turning on the water works and offering her a lift home to Albert Square. As Kat tries to get in, Chrissie drives off, leaving Kat fuming. It doesn’t take long for Chrissie to work out that Jasmine is the killer (Credit: BBC) Queen Vic reunion Later, Chrissie and Jake have a heart-to-heart in the car where she tells him that she’s upset he tricked her. He apologises but says he really does still love her and believes she didn’t kill Anthony. They head back to the Square and go for a drink in The Vic… where Chrissie catches up with Tracey behind the bar. She heads up to confront Kat, who is still adamant that Chrissie has Anthony’s blood on her hands. After some straight talking, Chrissie points out that there has been no forensic evidence that she was upstairs in The Vic at Christmas, and the police would have questioned her by now if they thought she was involved. Kat is shocked when she realises Anthony’s killer has been right under her nose (Credit: BBC) EastEnders: Chrissie’s return sees her crack the case As the pair share a drink, they talk about Zoe, and it doesn’t take long for Chrissie to work out who really killed Anthony. She says that if Zoe is innocent, there is only one other person who would want Anthony dead. And that’s Jasmine. Kat is shocked by Chrissie’s detective skills, especially as she has cracked the case so quickly.
