Things began to heat up between Johnny and Callum last week, as they kissed while at a Walford Pride event. They were caught in the act by Felix, who broke things off with boyfriend Johnny, and fled the country with Bernie (along with a good chunk of the Panesars’ cash). Despite their best (not very good) efforts to keep things friendly, they soon embraced again. And, as EastEnders spoilers for next week have revealed, a full-blown affair between Johnny and Callum may be coming. Aside from Callum cheating on Ben, this may well have another side-effect… breaking up one of the soap’s most beloved friendships. And some worried that it might destroy Phil and Linda’s friendship. Growing close during Linda’s alcoholism and Phil’s mental health struggles, the pair have struck up an unlikely friendship in recent weeks. This could be jeaopardised by her son’s affair with Phil’s son-in-law. “Very intrigued as well by the divide this will cause between the Carters ( Linda, Johnny Elaine) & the Mitchells especially as Elaine encouraged Johnny to cheat with a married man,” wrote one fan. “This could put Phil and Linda’s friendship at risk further down the line.” “Today’s spoilers suck.
